That was great, just letting Michael talk, almost ramble.. but we’re all hanging on his every word. The man is a legend, whether he thinks of himself that way, or not.. To ride around the TT circuit at the pace those boys do, and then win 27 races, 1 more than his uncle Joey who is immortalised as the GOAT….well, there you go. Take a bow MD, for you are THE GOAT! 👏🏼

he’s alluded to it a few times now. I believe this has been a big weight lifted. His demeanour, the relief in his voice leads me to believe this is a bigger achievement in his mind than he’s let on in the past. When you get closer to legend territory, which joeys record clearly was, It gets almost mythical. The danger, the record, fate, irrational and perfectly rational fear of death are all in the balance. I’m sure I’m not even close to comprehending his thoughts over the last few years but it definitely feels like now the pressure is off. Hats off to an amazing career and long may it continue 👏👏👏
