John Oliver is a comedian not a journalist. It is a sad day in America when Comedians does a better job informing the average Americans than "Journalists"
@papanurgle839310 жыл бұрын
Journalists are ridiculously subjective in their reports and involve personal opinions in the way they gather information. Not wanting to be mean to journalists but anyone CAN learn to be a journalists through correspondence.

rurutu M Another problem is that you think ppl who read the news are somehow educated ina different way then anyone else on earth
@R4Y2k6 жыл бұрын
Well, the US are more like a circus than an actual country nowadays, so I think he perfectly fits the scene.

If it didn't say "Democratic National Convention" at the bottom I would have thought it was a boxing match or something.

Actually Amy Walt is a brilliant columnist. She's very intelligent and I think she gets the joke more than her co-presenter.

I laughed pretty loud at the joke John said at 4:14 however, I felt so embarrassed for the two journalists who didn't seem to understand the historical connection he had done. The woman said "that's a good point," and the guy ended up saying "this is the art of the transition." I don't want to be harsh on them because they probably didn't know their history but at the same time... I don't know,.

Meow ....they got the joke bruh.... It's not exactly some random obscure historical happening

John Oliver made brilliant fun of the 'trillion dollars 18 month long circus' of the presidential campaign in the USA. The hosts were too dull to get the points, as most corporate media staff need to be to get the job! He is a power tools of education under his comic belt, so he will be definitely more impact in the USA than he could in Europe. Great job JO.

This might be the best of John Oliver! The comedic genius is so perfect at each turn when he laughs internally while the hosts attempt logic and humor.

The Daily Show is just as biased as the rest. The difference is they are funny about it. Human beings have opinions. Dry reporting of only the facts is very boring. Think C-Span.
