My old vocal coach ( world touring opera baritone) warmed his students up just like this. $60 an hour.

Hell yeah new baritone!!! I’m glad you included the Rossini scale, I like it when Roger Buntley uses it in his Singing Made Simple program. Thank you for another great video, Jeff!!

Thank you Jeff, I love Baritone range, it's easy to sing for me and the vibration felt within in the lower range is so fulfilling...well back to higher range practice!

@@estrella-v1994 Aw thank you! Yeah, Jeff is the man when it comes to vocal warm-ups. He's also great at explaining the technical side of things, as well as the theory behind it all

Jeff, I want to ask you about my vocal problems. My mid/lower range on most days feels physically restricted, even when talking I feel like I am physically forced to speak up in a high register (which is also usually breathy and hoarse), and when I try to relax and speak in a more mid range voice my larynx just won’t slide down. Do you have any idea what might be causing this? Thanks

Not sure. You sound as if you habitually use a lot of vocal fold tension, but without hearing you and working through some exercises together I can't say for certain. Best, Jeff

Hi D3X, I can relate. For most of my life, that was my experience. Some of it seems to be psychological- feeling a need to overexert the voice to be fully heard. Some of it seems to be physical- tension. You might feel like you have to rush your words out too, which might make you have less air t comfortably speak in a mixed/lower range. For me, breathing slowly, relaxing, and DOING VOCAL WARM UPS :)) has helped me tremendously! I don’t know if we have the same issues, but advice is take your time speaking, relax your body by breathing comfortably, and keep doing warm ups. Check with a professional if you see this continuing and negatively impacting your life. Best of luck 🙏🏼:)

Hi Jeff, what's your best method to stop pulling chest voice and actually enter mixed more often as I know I have a mixed voice I just can't get into it when trying to and find myself always push chest

Great question! I have a few resources for that! Here's some free ones: kzbin.info/aero/PL2mQP7sE6PHgDZbHwHzRwUf-HOWec-fgq This is my step by step method, if you want a delineated method. www.jeffrolka.com/high-note-bootcamp I hope that helps! Jeff

Hey, I haven't been following you for long but then again I haven't been a baritone for very long. I am a trans man that started off as a metzo soprano and within a month of starting testosterone my voice dropped to baritone. These warm ups have been so very helpful to me. Thank you so much for doing this. I do have a question, my voice is still developing but still very elastic as I could sing metzo soprano down to the top notes of tenor before I went on T. When I do daily warm ups should I be trying to do beritenor and baritone, tenor, baritenor and baritone, or all the male vocal levels?

Hello and thanks for watching! I would advise you to be kind and gentle to your voice as it develops and sort of follow your nose. As it goes through this transition it's likely to have a variety of things happen to it. Stick to the fundamentals in ranges that feel right for the day, and try not to worry too much about fach. It will become clear as things continue and settle in. All the best! Jeff
