Yes, I have that deck. I bought it because I saw the Synchronicity card on some reading somewhere and I loved the artwork. When it arrived, I gave it a massive old shuffle and the first card that flew out was THAT card. Couldn't stop laughing.

The reading does resonate. I’ve been grappling with a lot of heavy emotions lately as well as material problems, but last night I dreamt that I was driving and a black bear crossed the road in front of me. It didn’t just amble across though, it took a flying leap and sailed across the road in a perfect arc like it was flying. I do love bears, and the dream felt so real that, when I woke up, I had to realize that it hadn’t actually happened.

Gemma! In all the years I've been watching you, I've never before heard that you were writing! That's awesome! And it makes perfect sense that you would be, since you love ideas and words. As a writer myself, I totally understand your reasons for appreciating your writing teacher - and for not talking about your own writing. My current project has been a slog, too, but for good reasons, I think, so I press on, and Carla's story is encouraging. Her classes sound excellent, too. I will check them out, and her book!

Yes! Writing and illustrating. It’s so difficult to focus on a theme…so I’m starting with the most obvious- introducing (or how I would describe) myself and to support one’s uniqueness

Interesting. I looked up Fifty Minutes a couple days ago when I was intrigued noticing it in the background by your bedside. Since I have ancient personal history with anorexia/bulimia and with therapists crossing lines, I felt maybe better not read but remain curious whether she had some personal experience herself or just what served as her inspiration.

A lot of the time I go for Audible versions so I can walk around while listening to a book! Also, the first 20 minutes of writing feels 'itchy' but then something kicks in and I can stay at the page longer. Not sure if this is your experience too? ✍️
