I've prepared Soo's cafe Vlog as a lot of you have requested 😉 It's already been 10 months since I've quit my job, took a break from graduate school, and started my own cafe. It's my first time running a cafe, but as always, I've already become an expert at this. It was a busy day at the cafe, but I captured most of my routine today.

Congratulations. Hard work for sure but you your own boss. Work hard..and keep feeding the stray cats and put fresh water too. They will bless and thankful for the food.

Do the points collecting for customers. Every 9 cup of coffees/drinks customer get one free drinks with one small cookies with cat shapes. Stamp one points for one purchases of drink each. Also one evening do feline evenings where all cat fans can gather and pay certain amount of money for coffee or soft drinks and light refreshments. Buffet style.. Customer can wear cat style shirt and masks. Also invite a talk by organisation that look after stray cats etc.. Also sell the cat merchandise...t shirts ,hat, scarf... Etc. Also do cat fan club every months to meet and do workshop on how take video etc of the cat at home. Look after a cat..etc.. Print a nice cat stickers... Etc.. Do once a month late opening..

I went to a cat cafe with my boyfriend in korea - they had cats but... no food or drinks and we were starving! So we had to leave 😩 this is s much better concept hehe 🙃

Congratulations on a successful business. You have an imaginative and cute cafe. It is so much work running your own business (here my partner and I run two businesses and it is almost always constant work) but usually so much better than working for someone else.

You should probably start planning from now on. Like, think of a good spot in your city, wether it's gonna be beside the sea, or on a busy street. Try to make an interior design, or at least think of it. And at last I would suggest to think of a way you could get the experience of working at a cafe and a way you would earn your money for running the cafe in general.

Start small, dream big. Except you have rich parents. They can support you if your business gone down. Remember that it is not easy, you may face challenges in the business.

As Sarah suggested, you should work at cafes (as many as you can, w/ different styles and menus). And also do the opposite, be a customer in as many cafes as possible. Get experience on both sides. Get a good idea and feel for you want in your cafe, what you don’t want, how you’ll be running things, what ambience you want the customers to feel, etc etc. Start saving up money, and if you’re planning on getting a business loan from the bank, better start preparing your business plan for that too. Be sure to do as much research as you can in that topic. Learn a bit of business management. Pick a good location, and have multiple different options in mind as you may not get your top choice. W/ that in mind, advertising also goes in hand as you’ll need to attract customers. Look up the laws where you live in regards to businesses, food and sanitation, etc. There’s plenty of other advice, but these are some of the biggest ones I can think of. You’re planning for the long term, and it’ll be hard work, but worth it once it pays off in the end. Arrange to talk to other cafe and small business owners if possible so you can get tips from them. Some may not be so privy if they know that you may become possible competition, so just say it’s interview about what the career field is like. It’s not a lie, you’re just leaving out your interest in going into it. Lol anyways good luck, and good for you for knowing what you want at a young age!

You’d be surprised! Usually you clean the floor and counters and everything the night before, so that when you open in the morning you only have to do a quick clean. When I used to open for a cafe I’d get there 30 mins early and just GO GO GO for half an hour and somehow get it all done!

hmmm he opens at 11am hmmm isnt it a bit late?.. or maybe i just got use in my country's cafes.. In my country, cafes usually open at 7am & close at 2am.. good for people who are on their way to work in the morning..for people who like to chill out w friends in the afternoon & good for people who are awake/work 🙋 at night, or just finish their dinner and what a cup or two.. Not too early and not too late for coffee lovers to get their cups filled.. Just a thought

It depends on where exactly the location of the cafe. How busy it is, is it near offices or schools, in shopping smalls and etc. The place I work part time at opens at 11:30 on weekdays and 11:00 on weekends because there would be almost zero customers early in the morning.
