This is my first time commenting, I am truly happy with the long form conversation that I get to hear from these with all of you. And I appreciate you putting Jordan Peterson on the show. I really enjoyed the comments about the French Revolution in comparison to the American Revolution. Thanks Shapiro! I think the most patriotic movie that I ever saw, not including Rambo. Is the Miracle in 2004 was the most periodic movie that was based in reality.

I am humbled at the sight of those who can uphold the masculinity of old, and at the same time am heartbroken over the general loss of that exact masculinity in western culture. We have passed the peak of western culture. It is all downhill from here. And that masculinity that I speak of is not just personal strength, but the strength to help others, the strength to uphold a family and raise strong sons and daughters. Hell, imagine raising a daughter in todays world? God bless fathers in this day and age! They need it!

Andrew and Jordan are my two favorite public people. Each played a huge role in helping me get on a more correct path in my life, but more importantly helped chizzle away the rot that grew upon my sense of faith and purpose. I have been waiting for them to have this exact discussion for the better part of 2 years. I felt dissonance between them from previous talks regarding "the direction of meaning", as Andrew puts it, and the relationship of this between the physical/material and the metaphysical/religious. I know both men so well because of the effect theyve had on me, and I wished I could sort out how I dont think theres any fatal contradictions between each of their theologies. It was bothering me, but I really think Andrew's line of questions--which I could tell he wanted to ask of Peterson going back many months--really helped hammer out a synergy of ideas that have been my religious beacon for years now.

😂Telling a Twitter opponent that if he didn't like the world as it is he "could leave anytime"--malicious, and overt encouragement of suicide was perhaps less than shrewd, on Peterson's part. I think that his most recent difficulties have more to do with alleged unprofessional behavior than it does criticism of the government per se, doesn't it? I mean, "Poor people eat too much food" or "climate doesn't exist" aren't direct critiques of any government, are they? I lost interest in what he is saying when I checked out his assertion that "lack of serotonin is the cause of depression"¹; it turns out there is no scientific basis for that whatsoever. ² Then I looked into him further only to discover his claims, "I am an evolutionary biologist," and "I am a neuroscientist" to both be false: he's always only had a doctorate in cognitive psychology.³ ¹kzbin.info/www/bejne/oGbGhWBod7GKoZI ²www.google.com/search?q=dies+lack+of+seretonen+cause+depression%3F&oq=dies+lack+of+seretonen+cause+deoression%3F&aqs=chrome..69i57j0i22i30l2j0i390i650l4.22922j0j1&client=ms-android-samsung-gj-rev1&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8 ³kzbin.info/www/bejne/noSxiJ6IrJpmgNE See: 5:46--7:52 I've always intensely disliked and mistrusted paucity of intellectual integrity... Oh come on, They got to have a cigar - Ben and Peterson both don't smoke, and take it from me... Cigars are the thickest roughest 2nd hand to be around when you are a non-smoker when you are in a closed setting, whether it's well ventilated or not. So I thought it was pretty great of them to switch over after they had their 'relaxer'. I used to smoke regular cigarettes, my Dad still smokes Cigars, and by God - there's no way I'd ever ask him to put one out. I suffer through it without question! So I'm certainly not bashing anyone who enjoys a good cigar by any means, but don't disparage people who vape. Especially just being considerate. I switched several years ago to vaping for my wife's sake. Never looked back. Someday maybe I'll even quit altogether. lol

When Ben spoke about the difference of the land in Israel on one side of the fence vs the other side, it brought back a memory from when I was a teenager. I was puzzled about how it was possible for Israel (the people) to have their land given back to them (as I assumed they had been conquered some time in the past by the Palestinians). So I asked my mother if the land was bought of the Palestinians so it could be given to the Jews. My mother didn't really know what went down either but she said to me that the Palestinians were not interested in the land as it was all desert. She said the Jews worked very hard and cultivated and watered the land and made the desert bloom and that that was when the Palestinians decided they wanted it.
@feliciaf8

well actually Palestine was/is just an artificial land in the first place, after the WWI ottoman turks fallen and some of them still on that area. again, yes true even it's just dessert but SOME group of people still used it to its' full potential. when it was just a boring land to live in, no one wants it BUT when it was cultivated and cared for to its' peak by other groups, now everyone wants to have it, conquered it, exploited it. they're really hypocritical lol also no they were conquered FOR CENTURIES from the muslims, before that it was under the byzantine empire but the emperor give their(israelis) rights to have their own land(israel) and still recognized it as the home of those natives
@agimasoschandir
@agimasoschandir 5 жыл бұрын
That is today's myth. The states of Palestine and Israel were suggested at the same time. The majority of people were of Arab descent. The land was basically conned from the British who were in charge of the land at the time. The Palestine people have always wanted their own state, which is a separate set of lands from the modern State of Israel

@@agimasoschandirwhat you said is exactly what we would call pesudo history and desperate fantasy thinking. Israel was known to many ancient nations. The Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, Romans etc. Heck just go to Rome and Look at the Arch of Titus. It clearly has the marble carving of the Temple vessels and Menorah. Vespasians coins have the words "IVDEA CAPTA" which translates to Judea captured. It isn't British propaganda. Israel was known the world. Your claims are equivalent to that crazy woman on tiktok who said that the Roman empire never existed. Go read books kid. And even Mark Twain writes about Israel before the Jews came. He described at desolate and deserted. No one cultivated and cared for the land until the jews came from the Holocaust.

Tell Klavan he needs to mute his microphone when he pulls on his e-cig. I kept thinking i had a stuffy nose and was whistling, then I realized it was him puffing that was causing the little high-pitched whistle. This is really great content! I love the Daily Wire. I came across TDW in early 2018, when I started to see Ben's show, coming up in my home page feed on YT. Right away, I enjoyed hearing Ben's perspectives, and quickly came to respect his exceptionally brilliant mind. I just recently began watching Michael and Andrew's shows, and I enjoy hearing both of you guys, too. I'm an American Ex-Pat, and have been living overseas for nearly four years. I appreciate any reliable and intellectually satisfying sources of news and information, from America. I hold The Daily Wire and all of you program hosts, in high regard. From the most basic details of production values, to your editorial perspectives, TDW offers first-class coverage of news and information, in an engaging and entertaining style. Hope you all enjoyed a blessed Independence Day. Thank you all for your efforts to inform and enlighten Americans and others around the world.

Knowles : What children are taught today about the flag. In my son's cub scout troop we go on two camp outs every year. At almost every one we retire a worn flag during the evening campfire. We sing a few songs including "It's a grand old flag". We talk about what the flag means. We talk about from where the flag that we're retiring has come and what it has been through - we have retired several flags that were sent to us by troops serving oversees - troops that we've often met through our service projects. The striped field of the worn flag is cut into pieces and each boy reads a line or two about the flag's symbolism and history before placing his piece into the fire. Lastly, the three most senior boys present the field of stars from the flag and explain why this field is never cut apart just as the union is never to be sundered. Then, together they place this last piece whole into the fire. My son has participated in this ceremony probably seven or eight times in his young life. He's carried and raised fresh new flags and reverently retired worn old ones. He's seen how we take some ashes from each campfire to salt into to the next as a symbol of the continuity of our fellowship. Today, our culture ridicules such symbolism. It seeks to tear down the metaphors of our history and heritage while offering nothing to replace them. I have no wish for my son to be slave to symbolism - no wish that he follow anything blindly - but neither will I ever want him to find himself rudderless on a sea of confusion and contradiction. Anyway, to answer your question, that is what a few children at least are being taught about the flag today.

Orson Welles Actually, lung cancer rates for those who smoke a couple cigars per week were shown to be less than in nonsmokers. Now that was only slightly less and in reality probably just means that they are at the same risk. Those who smoked daily were barely higher than nonsmokers. You don't inhale cigars (obviously a small amount inadvertantly gets inhaled), and also cigar smokers are seldom chain smokers. Lastly, cigars are made of tobacco, and that's it. They arent filled with all the additives that cigarettes are.

This has fantastic production quality! I'd love to see more of this. Organic conversation between thoughtful people. Much of the dialogue is not obviously conservative or partisan, which I like. For a left-leaning listener, there is the feeling of thoughtful, reasoned dialectic here. This is good for the cause of seeing others across the spectrum as individuals rather than the "other", or evil, or political shills.
