Won’t happen I expect as the British generally like Estonia, it’s a beautiful country and very forward thinking and advanced in terms of governmental services and the use of technology, so much so that it puts the U.K. to shame. Also, Estonia is of strategic importance to NATO defences against Russian aggression towards Europe and the west and there are 1100-1200 British service personnel stationed in Estonia as part of NATO’s enhanced forward presence. Add another 1100+ expats living and working here like me. But I guess you can’t please everyone. But I’d certainly rather be here then back in England!

Maybe Narva Jõesuu would offer some kind of interesting Soviet Era style. There's nice little village there at river Narva. One guy said to me that there's only 1 estonian living in that village, other 100 or so are russian speaking. I used to be borderguard there. But it was fun times, we used to go to our observation post through the backyards of these homes. And even saved 3 russian border guards who were shooting ducks at River Narva and their boat went upside down, so they started to scream at their side, calling for help, but russian cordon was too far away and they could not hear them. So after 5 minutes or so, they started to scream "bamagiite Estontso bamagiite (help Estonians help). Although we would have needed permission to enter russian side, as they were on their side, we with other guy didn't even bother to ask any permission as lives were in danger and drove our boat to their site and helped them onboard. I think they were in water some 10 minutes, all drunk, they were older and had big bellys, so must have been some higher rank officers. We then took them to russian cordon, they thanked us and we went back to our side.

This area was named according to Jobst Donte and his manor in years 1688-1696. Local folks started to call it "Tondi" which was apparently easier to pronounce for us Estonians. It is a bit funny because this name also actually means something, in translation: "Tont - ghost or Tondi - ghost's", which indicates possession. So, we have a sub-district that belongs to ghost. Quite encouraging.

This is the Tondi Institute of Tourism (TIT). We here at the TIT order you to turn yourself in to the nearest TIT location. You will enter a program designed to teach you to speak better of Tondi. We will let you know when our education camp is open as soon as we build it. Stay tuned , we will contact you.
