просто воде некуда утекать ,,вот и поэтому грунт отступает в глубину воды ,,чем больше засыпают грунтом тем выше поднимается уровнь воды ,,и тем труднее становиться заполнять водоем ,

If that's part of the ocean, the tides that come in and out, will keep moving the rocks and soil, probably never will be able to fill it in. it will keep sinking.
