James Whitesides im all legs but i keep them either stretched or put them up high to the point where i can shift and sit against the wall. I have only once been pumped because i just use my legs. Its way easier when youre more flexible

Very hard to make a good video of lead climbing with little investment. To make a great bouldering video you only need a cheap camera and some sort of tripod. To make a good lead video you'll need a cameraman and a lift which is pretty much impossible to do for the vast majority of people who'd like to start a channel.

KingColliwog gotta somewhat disagree with you. Matt should have just filmed Annie or chose to work on something near her problem to provide a different narrative. He basically just showed her up the whole time and she didn’t send either problem. Not the most flattering way to treat a guest on your show.

@@jlehm well he climbed with all the guests (for the magic wood series), the other guests happened to pick 8a boulders so he didn't managed to get a top or provide information to the others. she picked the boulders and had the first go on both.

I'll agree that it made for a weird video, but that's still not mansplaining. Mansplaining is explaining something to a woman that is better/more knowledgeable than you because you can't fathom that a girl might know more than you. That's not what is happening in the video at all. Also, I think in all the videos I've seen Matt climbs the same thing as the guest. She just happens to be an average climber while most guests are as good/better than matt. I'm not sure things would have been any different if Annie happened to be a guy. I'm not saying this to be mean and it's the very reason why I subbed to the DabRats. Quality content from average climbers is rare which is sad because I'm also average. If you climb with people who are better than you, they are going to flash your projects and will try to guide/help you if they are nice (and if you're not opposed to it). That seems like a normal/good thing to me.
