This interview not only shows Dave is a literal genius but that he is completely altruistic and understanding of the human condition. His use of eye contact, facial expressions, double entendres, and metaphors to communicate an idea to will in broad daylight is masterful. He's Social engineering to help his friend work through a problem.... We should all hope we're lucky enough to have someone like this in our lives. He failed as a human when he slapped Chris in public. No one should be free to fail that way. It is sad that so many people got together to help him recover so fast. I guess that is the privilege of a star. I don't believe he should suffer forever, but it doesn't appear we should see Will Smith winning so soon. We get to see Will win before Chris is sad. The law didn't punish Will so he has the right to appear in front of us again, but to appear so soon like he did nothing wrong sucks. I know the slap has a story and the slap has circumstances, but so does every domestic violence case and every murder case. Too many people gave him a pass. I know we can only be mad as a country for like 9 hard minutes but maybe would should of tried for another 2 or 3 minutes.

Going on the stuff she has put out into the public view and her behavior towards him and their "relationship", to see how she reacted to what he said in the beginning of his set and that look on her face triggered me. Men of this Planet, if your woman ever has that look on her face when thinking of you (especially when you yourself sees it) simply put some clothespins on the relationship, hang it out to dry and kick some rocks as you walk away from it because she will push you beyond your limits and you will find yourself doing things to people you would never even think possible solely to make her "happy" and the more you do these things the further away from yourself you will go.

It's real nice to see these guys having a good time together. Dave Chappelle is a Peace Maker... I think what went on with Will Smith had more to do with his personal life than it did with what Chris Rock said. Will knows Chris is a comedian. I think n any other day at any other time he would have just laughed it off. But it's not for me to judge what the man has been through and what he's going through now. It's for all of us to love him unconditionally for who he really is and what joy he's brught to our lives. Chris seems okay with it and I'm sure he forgave Will as I'm sure Will forgave him. I think we were all in shock never having seen that side of Will Smith... all we've seen is what he presents to the public no matter how much emotional pain he's been in. God Bless him and I wish him well with the Stand Up. He couldn't have a better teacher than Dave Chappelle. They're both great entertainers.

Optics. Hypocrisy. Also the reason behind the slap. You are only looking at the surface. Will was laughing and then he went up an embarrassed himself over nonsense. If words lead to physical violence is your norm, that shows weak character. If you let someone words take you out of your place of peace, that means the other person has the power to make you act out using words. Also if someone is using positive and encouraging words and they don't encourage to positive actions then it goes back to someone being of weak character.

It was blown way out of proportion for sure. We have all been out of line at times. The difference is we weren't on national television. We feel ashamed for our mistakes, so we feel the need to shame others. The inward shame people experience is usually plenty enough for the lesson to be learned.

@@DerrickDJ The threat of physical violence is there for a reason. It keeps people in line. Well, it keeps men in line. Men understand that if they cross certain boundaries, they might get popped, and they will have earned it. I correct myself again, MOST men... When women have confrontations, neither have any fear of physicality. Thus, they fear no boundary. Both are ready and willing to say or do anything to affect the others emotional state. If you have ever been hit in the face, you will understand that there is a moment where you sort of check inventory, and your sense of reality is sharpened. Ironically, similar things could be said about calling another man weak over the internet. You certainly wouldn't do that to a man's face. Ask yourself why that is. Why do you feel so comfortable belittling another man behind a computer screen? Is it possibly because there are no boundaries, or possibility of a quick pop on the nose? Remember that wherever you point the finger, you're pointing 3 more at yourself.

Will lives such a high class lifestyle that he has a really hard time relating to people. There’s a lot to relate to emotionally, with his fears and insecurities, but it’s hard to make that connection with people through that high class lens. What he needs to do is dive deep into his darker personal life, remove the high class stories, and address the loss of his house. A story about his son breaking out on the music scene is so out of the ordinary for us, yet Common for him, that when the reaction is to place Grammys everywhere, there’s nothing to relate to. I feel like he needs an honest emotional breakdown, and he needs to get rebuilt. He’s still playing the fresh Prince role, but it’s become him, and he’s lost, buried in other peoples opinions of him. I don’t envy his position. Crazy enough, he’s probably going through something harder than most of us normies are. He just needs to find a way to communicate that difficult that relates to us. Maybe he needs a commoners job for awhile. Live in a shitty apartment for a few years. Live on a budget. Something.

Will Smith was a fool for walking onto that stage. He went full moron when hit Chris Rock on that stage. He then turned into a raving lunatic, shouting and hurling profanities at Chris Rock after he went back to his seat. There is no justification for doing what he did.

I love that even though the title is a complete lie, people are commenting on the video - THAT THEY DIDN'T WATCH - as if it's accurate. This has nothing to do with any man-to-man talk about the slap, it's an episode of the Facebook Watch series "Will Smith's Bucket List" from 2019. Hilarious. 🙄

Anyone notice Will lost himself in that king Richard character or something? I dont know if he is using it as a safeguard and or really admires the man but it seems as though maybe after studying his character he lost himself in someway. He goes into that posture and talk in almost all conversations every since.
