1989 I was 11yo. Watched Papin shooting a banger at the last minute of a match and fell in love with football. He was truly a pure forward, made to score goals after goals. Sadly he taught me also irony and I still remember vividly that evening when Marseille won the 1993 first ever Champion's League against the great Milan... I couldn't feel but sad for him in all my joy. I was jumping everywhere like crazy. Boli's header ended a truly hard battle, I can never think of this game as tainted.

Papin, at his best, was a kind of MBappe and Haland combined. But unfortunately, France's national team was at its lowest ever. He got really unlucky : arriving 5 years after, he would have been world champion with Zidane. 5 years earlier, he would have played with Platini's dream team (and maybe won 1 or 2 world cups, in 82 an 86). Absolute legend. Thanks for this video.

Cantona was one of the best number 10 / second striker in the world. Ginola was arguably a top 3 winger in the 90s. They had too much ego and back then PSG/OM rivalry was serious in France. Since the 80s we pretty much always had great player but too much ego. With better attitude, we would have won more trophies with such legendary players.
