Those fish are called Celestial Eye Goldfish. They have been selectively bred to have their eyes point directly upwards as an aesthetic feature. Consequently, they can't see in front of them or to the sides where their eyes are supposed to function. They are forever stuck looking at the stars, hence the name Celestial Eye Goldfish. Imagine having your eyes positioned where they are always stuck upwards, consistently looking straight at the sky, and being unable to see around you - in front, to your left, or right. That's the reality for these fish, and it's not an optimal way to live. I personally don't find the aesthetics appealing; I think these are very ugly fish. This is an example of goldfish breeding going too far in my opinion. TL;DR: Celestial Eye Goldfish have upward-pointing eyes due to selective breeding for aesthetics, hindering their vision. It's not an ideal way for them to live, and the extreme breeding raises concerns about aesthetics.

Columbia University in the City of New York has at least a couple of exam-related stress-relieving traditions: one is Primal Scream, which is basically what you see at another school in this video, and Orgo Night, which is a student-run comedy night scheduled on the night before the Organic Chemistry exam (and other final exams), held in a large reading room in the main library and designed to distract others studying for that exam and lower its grading curve.

the fish at the beginning is called a bubble eye goldfish, those thing on the sides of it’s head are large sacs believed to contain lymph, which is similar in composition to serum or blood plasma. What sucks is the “bubbles” have functionally no purpose, and these fish are intentionally bred to have the large fluid filled sacs under their eyes because they’re “aesthetically pleasing” to some.

Horses are pretty smart and I suspect the horse recognised her raising in pitch as a question, and responded as a result. The horse likely had been rewarded for a nodding response before. Many horse owners train them this way to tell them what food or toy they want, or just for social interaction, which they need too.

For those who didn’t understand the last one, those are star trails, many photos taken over time to shows the motion that the stars seem to have caused by the earths rotation. The middle star is Polaris, the North Star, which is located nearly directly above the North Pole, which is the axis the earth spins on, so it doesn’t look like it moves like the other stars. Cannot be seen in the southern hemisphere.
