I loved my citirox. Had a citi r line 1.8 motor with 276 cam. Was fast. But constant maintenance on certain things and the body and gear linkages and suspension and door handles etc drove me mad and also fighting inevitable rust. But it was my daily. If I could keep a golf as a toy then different story.

I totally understand what you say, I am experiencing the exact same thing. I also drive a VW MK1 and it gets difficult to have it as a daily driver because of the small issues on the car and it definitely gets to you !! But Absolutely great car to have 🙏🏽🔥👊🏼

Never go bigger than 267 Cam on 1.6i I've just built the world's first strage 4+ performance package using the AFX 1..6 motor in a 1300 Chico. Everything from the Pistons to exhaust ports are fully Ceramic Coated.... Viper header the works.

Had a velociti 1.4i since 2005 last ones with the square taillights. Respray almost done as colour was fading. Any recommendations on the cam and small stuffs without replacing engine.. i have primaforce exhaust should i replace it
