Recently Somalia entered a woman in the World University Games in China who finished 10 seconds behind the winner in the 100m dash. Yes, you read that right - 10 seconds in the 100m dash, a race where the winner crossed the finish line in about 10 seconds. It turned out that Somalia's President of Athletics Federation sent her niece to race for Somalia. It not only embarrassed Somalia but cost the President of the Federation her job after it was discovered that the woman who raced had never competed in a race in her life. I have no idea why parents push their kids out of karting into single seaters so soon. Karts are where you can really push and get used to feeling tire grip at its limit with little consequences. It’s also where you’re going to have the most competition with equal and better drivers. Moving to single seaters too soon will stunt your growth as a driver.
@deanjdk5 ай бұрын
Karts are great but Karts are also driven differently to cars. For example, physically leaning to the outside while rounding the corner is a technique that only applies to karting but is essential to be competitive. @@deanjdk True but one year of karts before single seaters is way too soon in my opinion. I feel like you should stay in karts for at least 5 years to fine tune your seat of the pants feel for tire grip. That feel is everything in racing, after you get that you can adapt to different vehicles and learn how to pilot those. But if you aren’t comfortable at and exceeding the limits in a kart where the speeds are slow, you are going to be overly timid in a car and slow down your development as a driver. Exceeding tire grip in a car can be a huge disaster financially and physically, in a kart you can do it comfortably and not worry about endangering your whole season financially or get hurt.

@@maxcalder1010 5 years developing skill in a different direction than the one required for single seaters. 5 years of muscle memory playing the cello when ultimately, you're in a guitar playing competition, will it help? Sure, but better than actual practise in a single seater, definitely not. Karts handle much too differently (as great as they are).

@@rileyh4169 I'm not arguing against karts, I think they're great and definitely a big help but ultimately, they handle completely differently than a car with suspension and a non solid rear axel. A kid developing in a kart is doing so a bit differently than the same kid in a car. Competitive karting is also arguably more expensive than clubman racing. Start in karts, get them into cars if/when they're ready after a year or 2 or 3.

Bro how the hell did this guy not know how to reverse when he’s from INDIA. bro sometimes the roads are so tight or you barely have any space, so doing a 5-6 or 7 point turn is a necessity, especially when you have like a foot of space on both sides. It is an essential skill in India, I’m genuinely shocked he couldn’t do it with ease compared to other drivers

I've recently learning about Danica, (Which yes she raced in a different Category) but.... this dude is much worse, and deserves the worst driver award (imo and the video also shows many examples lol) They should bring back "Canadas Worst Driver" but for all these "racers" who try to hop ranks faster than they're skilled
@deaf28194 ай бұрын
Danica is not nearly as bad a driver as redneck poor southern fried Americans attempt to make her seem. She was good in open wheel stuff and could drive a race car pretty well in nascar. Her “race craft” & temper often got her in trouble but I refuse to listen to clowns who can’t handle street cars at street legal speeds without accidents call a professional racer bad ( with the exception of this Indian fellow lol)

That's pretty much it. Motorsports is expensive and not every skilled driver has a generous sponsor package that they bring along with them. There are a lot of very rich wannabes out there though, and sometimes a team just has to burn a season to take their money and let them have their fun.

@@ifixthingsjr oh I see, I wasn't aware that it was banter but as far as kush is concerned, I think he's doing better than last season, this season he got unlucky because of his car. He drove in Monaco and imola with broken chiassis which hampered his performance. Plus there are exceptional talents in F2 like kimi Antonelli, bearman, hadjar, martins and others who are performing great. Also to mention that it has tight competition than F2, so we see different winners every grand prix race.
