Insurance covers stupidity which is leaving your keys in the car (I’m guilty of this). You’ll likely be covered unless you have a horrible company. I would say the top 10 insurance companies will cover this loss, I only worked for 1 auto insurance company and can only confirm for that company.

At that time I was the adjuster. I worked for a company who basically told us, we cover for stupid. Unless you do something that is clearly excluded on the policy you are covered for 99% of most claims. Collision when you hit / you cause damage while under control of the vehicle. Comprehensive - acts of god, hail, flood, animals claims, theft , riots fallen trees, etc Depending on the State there are other coverage uninsured motorist, underinsured motorist. Then there is stupid. Stupid is covered and well all do something stupid with a cars. I’ve done plenty of stupid things. I’m just glad enjoy fixing cars as a hobby. This is how I was thought, the insured always had the benefit of the doubt unless you have proof or can make a valid agreement that will would up in court. It made my job easy, I hated denying anyone’s claims. I only denied the 5-6 claims in 5 years. If it’s not in the exclusions it’s covered where I worked. If you clearly lie, we have or gain proof that you’re lying or some red flags that fraud is being committed claims were approved. I’ve also worked in a body shop over 12 years as a estimator/adjuster. I ran direct repair program and wrote estimate for a few companies and they would approved the careless things. Again, if it’s not in the exclusions and you can make a legitimate argument it gets covered. I learned policy is law, follow policy to avoid law suits, but be fair and policy is white, black and a lot of grey areas.

We just used our 23 FX4 4K to move. We were able to fit a washer and dryer in the bed and out the tailgate at the partially raised position. Loving ours! Almost 3k miles in almost two months. 😅

I was saying as they were walking around it, that totally looks like the Area 51 on our maverick. Alto blue is very rich, one of the reasons why I prefer area 51 which is more beautiful, unique, yet subtle.

Only 1700 miles on my 23 Lariat, Lux, 2.0, 4K, FX4. Absolutely no squeaks or rattles and has remarkable torque for such a small vehicle. The only real problems (that are not problems) are, there are scratches on the plastic where the seat belt buckle slaps back, and under the front door on the plastic rocker panel this indented grooved pattern in the plastic that likes to collect dirt, and lastly, I can’t get the optional dash mounted Ford espresso machine to make my double hot enough. Hardly worth mentioning. Other that it’s been perfect. Oh yeah, but then I got hit with the trailer wiring recall after I just bought an R-pod trailer, and it’s a real inconvenience. Excellent vehicle overall.

If you drill a small hole in the bottom of the take light it should help with condensation Charlie that’s what I did on my dad’s highlander and there is rarely any condensation in it

I have the same vehicle...area 51 color, fx4, 4ktow, plus just three a la carte options $29080 msrp. Mine was built about Nov 22, so no recalls on mine. These cost much more now, happy that I bought back then. They make a great appliance at their pricing. I'm getting 18mpg if all around town driving and 25mpg if some freeway driving. No long trips so far, have only 3500 miles on the truck. I'm not a fan of the seating with it's low density foam and no way to adjust seat base angle, yet must admit...when I drove one coast to coast twice, last year, no back ache whatsoever. Brake pedal too close to accelerator pedal and accelerator pedal too vertical. Overall great bang for the buck compared to just about anything else being sold. I'm reminded of this fact over and over. (I have two Mavericks, one a hybrid. Planned to try both and keep one. Now I may just keep both as they are just such a deal, especially the hybrid now that it's price has skyrocketed).

God damn an F150 with an 8 foot long, 51" between the wheel wells bed, 2wd and electronic limited slip, and the 2.7 ecoboost, gets better mileage Plus has an 1820 payload and 7400 lb towing capacity

Wireless hookup to cell phone? Here goes... I have a 2022 XLT Mav. 4k tow, FX4. No LUX. Cell is Samsung Android A13. VERY basic $180 phone. First 2 months I cabled up the phone so to get SIRUS XM from phone to Maverick. Worked good. One day I got into Mav with cell already playing SIRUS, and forget to cable up the phone. 45 seconds later I'm listening to SIRUS through the Mav radio! Without cable. Then I tried google MAPS without cable. Yessir! Maps came up loud and clear. Threw away the cables. Go figure... Rich

It was a Yamaha FZ1 and it fit easily! I was surprised. I will likely be loading my 2019 Suzuki V-Strom 650 in the bed at some point, and it looks like I might have to load it at an angle. I will post photos if I do! I also had a 2022 Benelli TNT 135 in the back and was able to put the tailgate up to the midpoint position.

rear facing seats in the back will be really tight. the middle will be the only option. 2 rear facing car seats if you have 2 kids will be really uncomfortable.

FORD DOOR SECURICODE IS NOT SECURE AT ALL. Because there is no lockout or requirement to start the code over again when wrong it is very easy to just go through the combinations until you get one right. There are a page and a half of combos and you can unlock it in 20 minutes or less using the list of combos. bruceyyyyy here on yt has a really good video showing this on a ford bronco. So for the love of god don’t leave your keys or wallet in a Ford with the door code.

Be careful with the tail light. Its not fun to pay for a new one but i have several customers a year who end up spending hundreds (in one case about $2k) because the wiring in the light corroded into the wire harness which then had to be replaced as well.

Is the starter an auto crank or you have to hold the key until the engine turns over and you have to let go of the key yourself as to not damage the starter?

I can't speak for the Ecoboost, but the maverick hybrid doesn't even have a starter. You just turn the key all the way to the right, flick it once, and you're good to go. If the starter in the Ecoboost is like our 2017 explorer, you have to hold it. Not a big deal unless someone is deaf and can't hear the engine when it starts.

You dont have to "hold" the key all the way to crank. Just tap the key all the way over and it starts automatically

Yes, you get a lot for the small amount of $, like a larger radiator and a brake controller. Even if you never tow, it will add resale value. The Maverick AWD on my videos has 4k.
