Thank you for your great info and inspiration. I agree, nowadays, it seems like EVERYONE is a Reseller... I've been selling on eBay since 2003 and the "old days" of reselling were great! It was easier to source items from yard sales, Craigslist, and thrift stores for CHEAP, because there were NO smart phones or Social Media. LoL! There were discussion boards and blogs. It was easy to be an eBay "Power Seller" - Items sold quickly and postage rates were cheap too!

I bought a lot of my stock over 20 years ago, so I sourced collectable items which are still hard to find and this has helped me define my selling platforms.

The only time reselling is really over is when businesses stop making products to sell for us to eventually resell

Hello, I just watched your video on how to sku things. I was just wondering why you put zeros in front of your numbers instead of just putting the number. I'm also wondering your thoughts on larger items in the SKU system because I sell just about everything. Thanks for your great content!

It definitely isn't like the old days. I started in 1997, sold through 2004, and came back as a seller about a year and a half ago. Back in the day, we sold a lot more collectables and sourcing came down to following that market rather than thrifting. Tbh, thrifting wasn't even a thing in the beginning. You found a niche and learned that niche completely, then followed that market. It was much more like Lego reselling than what we see today with hoards of people picking through mountains of junk at garage sales and thrift shops. Of course back then people could also sell organs and dirty knickers, so it wasn't all good lol.
