My little sister is 7yo and she said recently "I think I might be a boy instead of a girl, I feel like a boy". If I'd jumped on that and taken her to any sort of gender specialist, I know she would have gotten affirmed as transgender. Instead I asked her "why do you feel that way?" and she said "because boys like the colour blue and like dinosaurs but I like those things too so I must be a boy". That is the level of understanding of gender children have at that age. The fact that "professionals" can take that as gospel when it is coming from someone who's brain is still developing is terrifying.

I’m 40 and thank god I grew up before all this happened. I know for a fact I could have easily been sucked into this. I had social anxiety and felt ugly and awkward, and as a girl in your teenage years feeling this way is devastating. I kept my hair super short, wore male skater clothes, and most of my friends were male. I was a tomboy, and that’s ok. What no one is telling today’s teens is that gender roles/stereotypes are COMPLETELY MADE UP BY HUMANS and you don’t have to change your physical body to match your personality just because it falls more under one stereotype than the other.

Listening to Chloe took me back to when I had my first periods. My grandmother and my mother told me what to expect; "A deposit of blood every 4 weeks or so," was how it was put to me. As it was in the 1960's, Mum put a "Modess" belt and two pads in a paper bag, which I was to keep in my schoolbag. When they started, I was prepared and felt no pain or fear. As my periods became regular, perhaps it will sound strange, but I looked forward to them and found them a comfort. They told me I was normal and healthy. What made me so lucky? Perhaps the attitude of the adult females in my life whom I respected. My heart goes out to Chloe whom I hope continues to heal and has suffered a grave injustice.

I used to deny my gender during my puberty because I felt uncomfortable with the series of changes. I hated having a chest, hated wearing a bra, hated having menstruation cycle. What's worse is that I have gone through several sexual harassment, and this makes me wanted to be a man, because I could've protect myself if I were a male. But now I'm an adult who no longer have the trauma of sexual harassments. I'm glad that I'm still a woman and I like being one, I had happily embraced all the changes that I once denied. Teenagers need time to discover the new changes. We shouldn't be making such a huge change to theur bodies when their brains are still developing and couldn't analyse the risks entirely.
@littlebaboo9412 Жыл бұрын
All of our kids felt strange and awkward during puberty. But they are adults now and would never think of being the opposite gender. Since when does “not liking puberty” equal “wrong gender”. Since when does a girl putting a poster of female singers or actors on their bedroom walls equal being uncomfortable as a female? Typical teen behaviours are being labeled as gender confusion. No wonder kids end up suicidal. This country is abusing its children!

Close your legs when seated you are a girl . Learn how to cook you are a girl. You will need a husband to take care of you because you are a girl. As a teen, you can’t go out alone you are a girl. If cause I didn’t want to be a girl it didn’t seem like there was any advantage being a girl. After puberty I completely forgot about my tomboy phase and embraced my femininity. I let her know that while she feels weird, it's normal, and she doesn't need to change anything. I told her that when she gets older if she wants to wax and all that, I will help her if her parents allow it, but not right now because it's okay for her to look the way she looks. I reminded her that all the concerns she's having about herself, her friends are having about themselves and therefore probably not even noticing her body the way she does. The only "affirmation" that kids need about feeling weird about their bodies at puberty is that yeah, puberty feels weird and completely changes your body and it is scary, but that they're not alone in that feeling, we all have felt it before, and they're not being weird and nothing is wrong with them.

I was sexually abused as a little girl. Over and over and over. Then when I had an early puberty at the age of 10 and my breasts grew very large. I had grown men looking at me in the hungry way that I had already seen as a tiny girl. Since this happened back in the 80s, I dealt with it quietly in my own way. I finally did get past the awkward years between the ages of 10 and 15. I was afraid of men, afraid to date boys, and treated every guy I met like a potential rapist. Between the ages of 10 to 15 I saw pretty girls and was “infatuated“ with them. As I grew older, I realized I didn’t want to date them. I wanted to be them. Pretty, confident, self accepting. All of the things I wasn’t at the time. I am not a lesbian. I never was one. I merely had some mixed up emotions for several years coupled with some inadequate acceptance of my growth and development at home. My mom was very prudish. She wouldn’t talk to me about anything. I only had three older brothers. My oldest brother was the perpetrator. I know that had I grown up in this century and were a teenager five years ago, I would definitely have questioned whether or not I wanted to be a boy. I probably would’ve been pretty sure that I wanted that. I would’ve been sure at the very least that I was a lesbian. I am so grateful that I managed through the awkward times of my childhood by reading Judy Blume books, and having weird conversations with my best friend. It’s comforting having a friend who goes similar things, the awkwardness of puberty. I am scared for the teenagers who are now dealing with something they may deeply regret, and not even have a voice to say so.

the problem isn't that is what done to us. It the way media has shown the message. 5 years ago trans was accepted, almost encouraged by everyone in the youtube videos. So many did this 'changes' or did it to their children. Now 5 years later we don't look at it the same say. it should stop. we're sorry we told you the wrong information. Instead its lots of hate and disgust thrown at transgendered people from the public, the public see teens that transitioned years ago as the worst people on the world, when in fact just 4 years ago it was accepted. Instead of taking a stand, and inform people like Chole does and inform others. We attack the ones who been targeted and bully them on the media, in the public, it is children you bully, remember that. Take a stand against the medical practice and unlawful methods and surgery, and drugs medical professionals persuade children & parent to use. and treat your victims with care and respect too. This will help both sides. As example, in my country, the ruling how medicine & treatment giving to people suffering from "gender dysphoria" has complete changed. Doctors aren't allowed to give drugs, or advice of transcare. Instead they look at these people as any patients and try to treat the things they're really suffering from. Why can't america follow suit? and just change the core of the problem, and not fight the victims with their fist and words? ---- If for instance, Chole hadn't got "such fame" or been taking care by a medical professional who seen her issues and given proper help. None of this would've happen to her.

I love detrasitioners, but I don't like when they allow their experience to be weaponized against others. Children can be transgender and that's okay, but they definitely shouldn't be given anything else besides hormone blockers and therapy until they're 18-25(I lean towards 25 because your brain is developed, but legally 18 works). Trans people are not working to indoctrinate children; and yes they may be misguided sometimes with too much support, but most do understand being trans is extremely complex and most don't say you are trans because you said this or that. They'd usually only say just look into and think about it and if it fits that's okay if not that's okay too. I don't know this woman's whole story, but I hope she recognizes she's genuinely harming people out there. I means trans youth are known for suicidal behaviors; which is horrible and a testament to how stressful having people shame and ostracize them can be. Even if they haven't told anyone just imagining it is horrifying. Anyways regardless I think we need to just stop choosing to listen to a group of people over another because of our bias. Bias is natural, but we should be mature enough to just hear others out even if we feel like we couldn't possibly agree. I find this easy to do, but others may not and that's okay. Trying at all is terrific.

If the doctor hadn't put her in for another surgery due to a gut feeling, she would be dead. Shit like this is serious and nobody should have to suffer and take those kinds of risks through it unless it's a life or death situation, especially not a child. It breaks my heart that so many youths are being manipulated, only to end up trapped in a body that's falling apart thanks to doctors who promised they would help them. I pray that a change will happen soon and that these poor angels get the help and treatment they need and deserve.
@bumblebee237210 ай бұрын
But children aren’t regretting it tho, 98% of people who get trans affirming care don’t regret it. And those surgeries are only done for young adults over 18. Medications under 18 are only puberty blockers which are totally irreversible and don’t cause any damage. In fact their aren’t just used for trans kids. My cousin showed signs of starting her puberty when she was 7 so she had puberty blockers until she felt ready to go through puberty (about 12ish). Kids aren’t deteriorating their bodies. Children who are trans that don’t get gender affirming care are 50% more likely to commit suicide. This health care is so important and we need to protect children. It’s been proven gender affirming care works, if u don’t agree with it how do u suppose we help these children struggling with body dysmorphia.
@Rebecca_Taylor10 ай бұрын
@bumblebee2372 None of what you just said is true. Chole stated in the video that she got surgery at 15, and she's far from being the only one. Upwards of 80% of kids who express gender dysphoria grow out of it if they are allowed to go through a normal puberty. Of kids who do go on puberty blockers or hormones, 0% of them ever grow out of their dysphoria, and that's when they are more likely to commit suicide. Gender affirming care has not been proven to work. There is little follow-up study, and stories like Chloe's and so many others indicate the opposite. Changing your body does not solve your problems.
@bumblebee237210 ай бұрын
@@Rebecca_Taylor well I would like to know where u got ur facts because some of that is just wrong as well. My 1% regret rate from SURGICAL transitioning came from the article “Postoperative Regret Among Transgender and Gender-Diverse Recipients of Gender-Affirming Surgery” written by Harry Barbee, PhD1; Bashar Hassan, MD2; Fan Liang, MD2 which u can read about and talks about how low the regret rate is. For the 18+ surgeries I live in the UK so laws like that don’t allow children under 18+ to medically transition. So I am not familiar with the US laws and the statistics. But I do know that children and adults that get hormonal treatment have shown to reduce risk of suicide, improved mental health, lowered levels of anxiety, stress and overall have created a higher level of social support and quality of life. “The Effects of Hormonal Gender Affirmation Treatment on Mental Health in Female-to-Male Transsexuals” written by Colt St. Amand , MA*, Kara M. I almost went through with the idea of transitioning. I always thought that Im better as a guy than a girl. After one huge heartbreak from an ex-gf, I decided to take a break from being lesbian - took a lot ofnyime to evaluate my life and friends - and decided to try and embrace my feminity. I cut many friendships and stopped hanging out in lgbtq establishments. I focused on my career and waited patiently for my hair to get longer. BEST DECISION I MADE. Apparently, I am beautiful inside and out. That being a woman has its pros and cons and I felt free from lying about my name and gender. I am a female human being. Fast forward in time, now as a first-time mom, wife to an adorable dorky husband, a woman of faith - I'm living the best time of my life. I can't thank God enough for being in my life. And I thank my ex gf for the break up that set me up on this path. People change their minds and hearts with enough time and evaluation. What more with kids? I wish detransitioners peace and blessings.

As a transgender adult, I stand by this message. Transitioning is a huge decision and it’s one that can only be made as an adult, after years of therapy. The fact is that even if a child does actually turn out to still be transgender as an adult, it still doesn’t mean they can consent to sterilizing themselves at age 13. Their brains are simply not mature enough to properly comprehend the long term risks. I wish more people in our community would condemn what’s being done to kids because I believe it hurts the progress of those who are actually transgender. To the general public, this is all I and many others ask of you: please understand that there are so many of us out there who don’t condone this. Despite what the media would have you believe, the vast majority of us understand that we can’t change our biology and just want to be left alone so we can live relatively normal lives. You can recognize that being transgender is a real, scientifically substantiated medical condition while also understanding that transitioning is no decision a child can make.
@mychkineplot7677 Жыл бұрын
Really agree : the progress of understanding transgender as a humanity fact is blocked with this non-sense of medical treatment for children. As you say, years of therapy and capacity to understand the consequences should be the basis before any medical treatment. I really don't understand how doctors can do that to children. Hi from France

I know this is thrown around loosely all the time but you really are brave to say this. The backlash on the internet can be really nasty and doxxing is becoming more common. As a GNC woman who thought she was a boy as a kid, I'm so happy I wasn't on social media to have some external influence determine the trajectory of my life. Puberty for girls is hard. Its so hard and breeds insecurity, but you overcome it just like every other woman has in times past. The ones who actually have gender dysphoria, like you, will be apparent after therapy and constant questioning.

Very much agree with you. Unfortunately, transgenderism is also becoming a fad among tweens and teens, where they will claim to be transgender because it makes them seem or feel special. I spoke out about de-transitioners and only getting surgery after the age of 18 once, and I was completely shut down by the TQ+ community, saying that the number of de-transitioners is less than 1% in the world and that I should be affirming one's gender at any age. This agenda has gotten dangerous and whether the numbers are 1% or more, it's still 1 too many, and it provides further evidence and facts that having gender dysphoria is a very rare mental disorder. It is not cool or quirky and should not be considered without counselling and mental development first. Doctors and adults need to tell these kids the truth instead of trusting the woke agenda, which gives them complete false hope. I hope more inspiring people like Chloe find the courage to speak out, so more vulnerable children exposed to this agenda are not brainwashed into thinking something that is not true in the long-run.

What about the children who feel the same way about their bodies but are actually trans and want the treatment? Many trans adults that were unable to transition as youth struggle more with gender dysphoria because they look less like the gender they identify with. Oddly enough there is more transphobia against those who don’t pass as cis than there us for those who can easily pass as cis. So they end up being treated poorly by the same people who prevented them from doing something about it when they were able to. The same reason this is tragic for this girl, it is tragic for trans teens to not be allowed gender reaffirming care. You don’t need to choose which kids to care about. Sure it's not something to be encouraged, or something to be decided on a juvenile whim. But if someone is deeply uncomfortable with the body type they'll grow, why force them? It's not you who should live with the consequences if mistaken, let everyone decide their lives for themselves. Let everyone be free, yes, some will get hurt in freedom, but more will get hurt with lack thereof. Without freedom, lives are lost from the beginning.

TL;DR: Yes, she got the wrong help, but it's not the wrong help for everyone. And taking that away is not the solution, it just recreates another problem. I think everyone got a wrong diagnosis once, but that the same diagnosis really could've helped someone else. Just in this case, yes, the diagnosis should be checked more thoroughly.

I understand exactly how she felt when she firs started going through puberty. I hated that my body was changing and when i started my period it got worse. I hated myself and i hated my body, i talked to my sister about my feelings and she helped me though it. I am now a 15-year-old girl and i am loving myself, my body, and my mind. It takes time.

Hey I went through the same thing and I only got brave enough to talk about periods with other girls when I turned 19. I don't have a sister, I only have brothers and I'm not close to my mum. Sometimes it's just your environment or upbringing and it's normal to hate going through puberty. Female puberty is especially worse than male puberty. But that doesn't equate not wanting to be a girl. Glad you have someone to talk about it.

Periods get much easier as you get older 😊 And shopping gets more fun as you get older too! 👠 Be proud of your looks! Take care of yourself by avoiding smoking. And don't develop a habit of tanning!! If you avoid smoking and tanning, and exfoliate every day, your skin will thank you when you're 25. Being a girl is awesome 😊.

For a trans person puberty is the consequence of being born with a birth defect in your sexual chromosomes that causes a sex organ structure of one biological sex and a brain structure that is more similar to the opposite sex’s (aka existing as a trans-person) Therefore, the natural puberty needs to be blocked in a trans person and they need to be given cross sex hormones alongside it to go through the puberty of their opposite biological sex to match the brain structure hardwired for a body of the literal opposite sex. I can’t change that, you can’t change that and no movement in society can change that biology.

That's very interesting. However, how can one know that's the case and not something more related to the feeling of inadequacy, or neurodivergence, typical of a teenager? Not being hostile - I'm just wondering how one can establish with absolute certainty that is the consequence of a biological defect rather than a perhaps a temporary phase

Wow... In Africa, puberty is celebrated... Children are taught by their parents, before it happens what to expect when puberty hits, what to do and that they should take pride in the changes in their body. So it's something to look forward to. I think the more we discuss about this with our kids, the less likely they'll be uncomfortable in their God given body. It is well. God heal her heart.🙏

Yes. I think the West is in a mental health crisis. I'm in Africa and HR tried to force us into having a white man (pretending to be a woman) talk to us about Female Genital Mutilation! It's extremely offensive, as we deal with real women and victims. It's taken long, but more people spoke up and we are now insisting that we be honest and offer these people help. Adults can do what they want, but on their time and they have no right to push us into pretending men are women or that we must share spaces or pretend we feel safe sharing a toilet etc. There's a lot of healing needed in the West.

@@theeperson3764 That's not true. Those hormones don't change anything but the bank balances of the pharmaceutical companies and surgeons who have patients for life. What happened to loving yourself? I can't change my race, body, or chromosomes. That's life. It's a mental thing or religious belief. Even in cultures where people had to act like the opposite sex to inherit property or were transvestistes, there was never a pretense that you can change your biological makeup or genes. Such a person needs help. You cannot force the rest of the world to go along with such delulu, just as we do not go along with anorexics or anyone else with distorted views of their bodies. I was told by 2 psychiatrist in a meeting at my daughters high school those EXACT WORDS “would you rather have a DEAD daughter or a transgender SON”. That’s when I stood up and told the both of them to go back to medical school and learn there are ONLY to genders male or female. Then I told them if I find out if the both do anything behind my back with MY daughter I’ll own the school district and more importantly I’ll own their medical licenses and destroy their careers. My daughter now at sixteen with the help of her pediatrician KNOWS she’s a female. One last thing. This happened here in Florida. So if it’s happening here there’s NO question it’s happening in all 50 states. My kids ARE my kids.
@kiethz8201 Жыл бұрын
There are ow 20 states that are stopping this and few countries as well. The doctors are in it for the money. It is multi billion dollar a year business. Drug companies also make a fortune from these kids. It is a depopulation agenda I think. The majority end up sterilized for life. If that is not depopulation I don't know what is. It all starts with the schools. They start the BS on the very young, even 2 year olds. This garbage needs to be out of all schools world wide. All it does is confuse little kids. All of the parents and kids have been lied to. Planned Parenthood is also in this right up to the top of their sick heads. They think if a girls plays with boy toys she must be a boy and if a boy plays with girl toys he must be a girl. That among all the other stupid things they use. Oh she is a tomboy for example. I suppose if a boy likes to cook he must be a girl. And the list goes on. They take normal child behaviour and use it to say you were born in the wrong body. How daft.

"This happened here in Florida." I live in Florida. Florida is superficially right-wing on the surface, with a deep underbelly of leftwing third-party systems that the government is in cahoots with. Florida is a retirement state, so they stay behind the curve on the leftwing changes, because of all the old farts. Like the caboose on a train, it'll arrive in the same place the other 49 cars go, but it'll get there last. Don't believe the Florida hype.
