It's a very good job. See you. Stay healthy and happy. I feel happy when I see my label in your workshop. A warm hug. Big greetings. Yours sincerely, Mehmet.

I like the ‘quick release’ on the clamps letting you slide them up to the material. Thanks for another great video.

Great work as always Mark! Could you just flip your clamping blocks so the darker wood is on the outside. This should change the stress point, yeah? I'm definitely making my own version of this with pipe clamps. I'm also using a similar concept with pipe clamps for a vise on my workbench.

I am not familiar with the ratings on clamping pressure, but your demo shows these clamps have some serious industrial strength! Like you said, steel blocks would be even better, but even those blocks you made are strong and fancy too! Yeah, everything about those clamps are way up there in terms of what they deliver. Speaking of "deliver", maybe Timbecon can deliver you some more clamps, after all, the more the merrier for all the glue-ups you do!

Very useful thanks. Am just researching the pony press screws to make a different kind of press and that is useful information. I'm guessing the press screws will be the same as in these awesome sash clamps and it should meet my needs.

Gotta agree with Sumo on this one, you are a marketing dream! Any company that partners with you will get back 10x the investment! (p.s. I am soo jealous of your clamp sponsorship and I can't believe they didn't approach the CLAMP podcast with our aussie friend Adam)

I'd be inclined to add another cross grain layer to your 1.0 version instead of keeping all the grain running the same way in your 2.0 idea.

Great video and I enjoyed watching this. I've always thought the I-Frame on this Pony Sash Clamp (and the Bessey' equivalent) have been wasted. Very long parallel clamps (i.e >2000mm) could greatly benefit from the strength found in this crazy I-Frame bar. Existing parallel clamps are very easy to bend when they're that long.. 7000lbs is only obtained because of both that I-Frame and the very small jaw depth (i.e. only 45mm). That sort of force absolutely crushes wood (as we saw, but fun to watch: RIP v1!) and subsequently poorly utilized (for most situations). Fulcrum effects are greatly increased by both the length of the bar, but more critically the depth of the jaw. I'd like to see this I-Frame bar (i.e. specifically >2000mm) combined with a parallel clamp jaw (~95mm depth), to keep those long parallel clamps straight. The result will also lower the max clamping force. Now that would be the ultimate clamp!

Not to ruffle your feathers but would it not be better to apply a little pressure at a time as to not break your press. Just a though Mark. I thank you for your sharing i know it takes work doing it so again Thank you.
