By the way, the jacket looks better than the previous iteration and it looks like it'd flow more air than its direct competitor from Alpinestars (but A* uses 600-denier polyester on impact areas). I also love how Dainese has finally implemented the two-pocket design for the chest armor; this's been a much-needed redesign on many of their jackets. I'm foreseeing the Air Crono 2 being a bestseller for this coming summer. No doubt.

Why is there a decrease in blue color scheme for their products? I wish there were more blue products. I wouldve bought a few of them if they were in blue already. Do you know if they will release this in blue in the future? Thanks
@RevZilla7 жыл бұрын
It's a bit of a Catch 22 scenario. They decrease the blue options, because blue options don't sell as well. But then there aren't blue options for those who want blue. Therefore, it's unlikely they'll make this in blue. -DrewZilla

41.5” chest and 16”arms would size 52 be ok? I’m concerned with my arms not fitting in the size 50
@ScrewedGT063 жыл бұрын
No pockets for the shoulder pads. They’re just Velcro-ed in. They’re terrible. There’s no fleece on the inside of the collar so that’s also very uncomfortable. I love the look, airflow, and price but those two issues really bother me.

I recently lowsided a few weeks ago I. This jacket and they stayed in place just fine. The only design failure I found, the hard way, is the mesh on the back side of the sleeve. I went down around 40-45mph and where the mesh joins the solid panels ripped/melted away taking the armor out of the sleeve. The armor took the brunt of the damage leaving me with a dime size spot of road rash near my elbow but otherwise unharmed. I just ordered the Bora Air yesterday as a replacement as it also has chest armor pockets (which came in handy in my case) as well as a full denier sleeve excluding the front of the forearms.

Velcro around the beard area, I don't know about that. Also looks very short. Maybe he should have a bigger size?
@abyedrikn3 жыл бұрын
yeah I didnt care about the neck comment went ahead and bought this but I understood I made a big mistake because that neck velcro is a reaaaaallly shitty design. It is longer than my leather jackets so I would call it short although its not a full adv jacket I'd say it leans more towards adventure rather than sport. Mine also felt like right arm was a tad taller than the left which was so bizarre, I ended up returning it and bought an air frame d1.

Do gauntlet style gloves work with a jacket like this? Since the Armour goes all the way down the forearm?

Would it be unsafe to buy one a size bigger? I'm asking because it's a little tight fitting for my taste.

Loose gear is inherently less safe since the armor can move out of the way, BUT if you can't focus on the road because your gear is uncomfortable than it is not doing its job. Follow your heart and get the gear and sizing that you think fits your ride best. It's important to highlight whether the 350-denier D-Synth is polyamide (e.g. nylon) or polyester (BIG difference). I'm contacting Dainese to clear this out; I'm pretty sure of the answer already gauging from the video's close shots of the jacket but I don't want to speculate. Been some time since I last looked up all the material blends used by Dainese. Can you confirm if the D-Synth 350 is polyamide or polyester? I'll update this too. Thanks.
@RevZilla7 жыл бұрын
From what I've researched it seems it's a polyester and nylon blend, but mostly polyester I think. -DrewZilla

Hey, Is the D-Synth 350 material this is made from actually worth anything in a slide? Thanks!
@RevZilla4 жыл бұрын
Yes, the D-Synth 350 is designed to be abrasion resistant in the event of a slide, but there unfortunately is no data that we have access to in regards to the performance of a slide. Hopefully the next edition will have more information in regards to the newest CE standards which help relate slide time to a crash. - Pat

Hey i bought this jacket and the double chest protector doesn’t fit in the pockets,can i do something about it?
@RevZilla6 жыл бұрын
It turns out that the production version of the jacket only fits the newer, Pro Armor Chest Protectors, not the "Double Chest Protectors". Those new protectors are linked below but are currently out of stock. We hope to get more soon though. Alpinestars' Nucleon Chest Protectors also fit pretty well in their larger size. @RevZilla5 жыл бұрын
The Tornado 2 Pants are actually stronger than the Drake Super Air Pants, and you can wear a separate chest protector with the Tornado 2 Jacket to get that chest coverage if you want. That would be my choice, as there aren't enough light-colored mesh jackets unfortunately. Alpinestars offers chest armor pockets for many of their mesh jackets, but all are mostly black in color. *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/forcefield-elite-chest-protector *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/revit-tornado-2-jacket *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/revit-tornado-2-pants
