It’s sad when elderly people are considered an outcast in society. I understand many need assistance. This is a beautiful movie with my favorite actress Jean Simmons. This movie moves me to tears. Such beautiful, sweet, and loving moments.❤

Yes I agree with you consider an out cast ,I was running a 3bedroom he’s really lge garden decorating doing hairdressing for friends working few hours a wk mostly laundry’s cooking for an elderly man after he been in car accident babysitting over 10 babies not all at once having grandkids over in Holidays . Then I had a stroke and within a few weeks I’m put in a ward about 8 of us , looking around after coming look over the blanket they were all lied flat on their backs and few days being fed by tube and the other tube things ,I had to get out. Home and my own bed but there was a lge commode next to me 62 years young, I’m still in bed for the thanks of the drs taking my pain pills away and a few others just gone ,I as young person now I’m the old lady in that hse an outcast all through COVID I didn’t see a face I couldn’t finish training my pup she didn’t like the smell of the nurses and didn’t want to met her so she’s frightened of anyone now and I’m old old old I’m sorry be your turn too plan for it and LIVE NOW WHILE YOU CAN

I just found this movie and love it. This is how movies (TV or large screen) used to be made. No foul language needed or graphic sex scenes. Just a sweet story done by two fantastic actors who had true chemistry. I was glad to see it provided here, but one important scene has not been included in this copy. The two main characters have a plot building scene on a tour bus that is missing. Freeve has the entire movie (except for the darn commercials you watch so much you can recite them by the 5th viewing)

Yes! She was ever-gorgeus. I admired her from the very first time I started going to the movies - in the late 1940's.
@Lyn48173 ай бұрын
@@eguirald I seriously doubt the younger generations would appreciate movies of this calibre. They were both wonderful actors, I always loved and still do love all the movies with actors born in the late 20s and through the Golden Years. They all had presence that we no longer see in most movies. The Movie Studios definitely could pick the cream of the crop back in the day of when acting was heart felt and they took their profession seriously, from the heart. My parents met when they both worked in the Cinema, my father was an usher while my mother worked in the Kiosk. Mother had a wonderful voice and performed in Musical Comedies and later in life she enjoyed acting in some plays. My father an electrician by trade, would help with building sets and doing lighting. Being an only child, I grew up literally in theatres, with my debut on stage at age 5. So I was always in love with the Golden Oldies movies. Deanna Durbin had a wonderful voice and presence on film. I also adored Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, along with all his many dance partners. When my parents toured America, she purchased a set of Rita Hayworth eyelashes from a Studio back in the 70s. It was wonderful growing up with parents involved in theatre. I was so fortunate that I was never left with a babysitter. I went everywhere with my parents. My first paid job was as a Floodlight Operator front of house for the National Ballet in my country, at age ten. For some reason I was never tired for school. I was lucky enough to play opposite my mother in Belle of New York with her as Cora Anoelique ...the Queen of Comic Opera and I played her understudy Pansy Pinns. My mother had such a wonderfully strong soprano voice, so strong that it was intimidating for me being a mezzo - soprano, singing a duet with her. All while my father was front of house, spotlighting us. I even met my husband while in the theatre, rehearsing the musical Chu Chin Chow. It's lovely at 71 years old, have so many wonderful and unique memories and having lived such a full life. Sorry to bore you with my reminiscing. Needless to say, I have always been tied up in theatre until I was 32, as my husband and I moved to an outback regional town and I ended up pursuit my other passions in life, Dressmaking and Communications.

And if it doesn't, I won't fill my life with less, then I'd rather stay alone until I am no more.
