This beautiful movie brings back memories of the first time I saw it on tv with my mom and my sister.It was on late night tv and we were allowed to stay up to watch.Times are different now, families are different, sadly the country is different.I long for those days , but know that we must not grieve for what is gone but be glad that we ever had it.

A life-affirming look back at the legend of "The All American Family" except that we never experience the head of the family. I really enjoyed this narrator-like WW2 depiction of the remaining population's life with its love sorrows and sacrifices for the war effort. Max Steiner's romantic accompanying music only completed the experience.

I love Hattie, you recognise that beautiful voice before you even see her. She was absolutely brilliant in Gone with the Wind. Bless her and Butterfly 🦋 McQueen .two of my favourite actresses. ❤❤

Nice movie. I bate how they had the actor playing Bill talk like a 12 year old, too high pitched and hokie for his age.
