I have a 1105 daisy, got as a child in the 70’s. It’s in great shape, Can they be rebuilt ?
@RestOModDaisy
@RestOModDaisy 8 ай бұрын
Sure! Mechanical improvements are fairly easy like a new mainspring/airtube combo and new seals are user installable. Mods are simple too. Does your Model 1105 have a plastic trigger with a safety or a steel one?

What website can I go to for daisy replacement parts?
@ranger1244

Is there a special website you go to? I went to the Daisy home website and no links for parts. The search site option wasn't any help either. I like the flip up peep sight.

Ranger 1, That comes up a lot, if fact it's come up on this thread a little further down. Here's the skinny Anybody with a phone and some cash can order from Daisy. Phone number for customer service is 479-696-1200. Be advised that they have some stuff in stock and some on the way and they do charge for shipping. Their website isn't all that helpful on parts but the guys and gals as CS can send you parts list for models they currently support. If you're looking for older parts there's always ebay or I might have what you need.

Alexandre, That topic has been examined by Cobalt327 over at The High Road Forum under a lengthy post titled "Putting a little more power in a $15 .00 Daisy". He covers the differences/similarities of the Red Ryder and Sheridan Cowboy in the first two pages and there is additional info buried in the exceptionally long and info filled body of the article. You can find it here: www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/putting-a-little-more-power-in-a-15-00-daisy.807316/page-2 The short answer is that I think so, but I'm sure you'll have issues with lever lock up, sear angle and engagement in relation to the trigger and maybe even plunger O/A length.

@@RestOModDaisy Thank you for the valuable source of info. All i actually need is a new plunger head as mine arrived broken 7 years ago and ive just now decided to fix it. So im trying to figure out which of the Red Ryder parts are compatible, since its the only parts i could locally get. Im at page 8 of that lengthy post now, and it looks like the diameters are the same? Could you help me find the part i need? Maybe you have a link already popping up in your mind reading this. But i will go through the rest of the topic tomorrow anyway. Thanks for your help my friend.

I have a 1988 daisy model 95b I'd like to up grade the spring and new seals where can I find the parts at would like 350 fps or better
@RestOModDaisy
@RestOModDaisy 3 жыл бұрын
Matt, The basics like an improved mainspring, an over bored 7/64" air tube and a new seal set can be ordered from: www.ebay.com/usr/cobalt327?_trksid=p2053788.m1543.l2754 Those mods should get you headed towards your goal of 350 FPS. You might want to review this forum post on the process and mods involved: www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/putting-a-little-more-power-in-a-15-00-daisy.807316/

would you happen to know the specs of the springs that go into the model 25? (wire diameter / outer diameter / length)
@RestOModDaisy
@RestOModDaisy 3 жыл бұрын
That's gonna depend on year of production, most of the older Model 25's I've worked on had flatwound springs and they were usually busted.

Is the daisy model 1894 supposed to be weak? I replaced the seals and it cant shoot through a soda can but it is a bit stronger than before

How do I get a bag of parts like that, for my Daisy’s!
@OODA999
@OODA999 4 жыл бұрын
@@mcburgerking1523 MC, Real simple, just call Daisy customer service at 479-636-1200 and wade through the automated system until you get to a human. I did my last order with Katlin who was quite nice to work with. Be advised that Daisy is experiencing some logistics delays due to source country issues (China) but they will ship what they have. They charge for shipping so buying multiples is not a bad idea. Current Daisy Parts lists are scattered across the length and breadth of the internet so it would be smart to have your csr email you Daisy's current parts PDF's they use to support their current production inventory. You can't NOS parts from Daisy anymore, at least I haven't been able to. So get some bits and pieces and have some fun!

Shag, the Daisy 1984 "Spittin" Image" Carbine was originally sold with an advertised speed of 300 FPS as compared to the 1938B Red Ryder which claimed 350 FPS. So they're not a strong as other small frame Daisy's. Congrats on resealing it as that is a tough job, when you say it's won't shoot through a soda can, did you mean a complete penetration of both sides? And what distance?

Hello, i really appreciate your videos they have taught me a lot while rebuilding my childhood red ryder 1938b or so it says... I do have a couple questions that i couldnt find the answer to anywhere and i believe you are the man to ask! After disassembly and a good thorough cleaning i got everything lubed and as far as i can tell put back together correctly and when i cock it the trigger wont catch its almost like it cant push the trigger back enough to lock the plunger back (and its fully cocked)...if i assist it inside (with the stock off) catching the plunger as i cock it, it will catch and then seems to fire correctly. before i got the plunger out i was able to remove the trigger and put it back and it would catch no problem. the trigger is kind of coming apart so i thought i'd buy a new one... no matter what model i search i cant find my trigger. it looks like the one it says i should have but without the teeth that extend toward the plunger, this daisy has also never been opened up before me and it had been jammed for 15+ years. will the trigger im seeing work for my bb gun? did i somehow lose something? or does it need a rubber gasket anywhere that is causing my problem, did i do something wrong when reassembling? i spent hours trying and inspecting everything was correct and fiddling with it trying to get it to catch on its own but no luck. so i turn to the master! keep doing what you are doing! great videos! and thank you! *update* ive found 1 picture claiming my plastic trigger is from a model 25, but so far thats the only one

Josh, man that's a lot. The 1938B was Daisy's response to lawsuits about kids loosing eyeballs due to the lack of a safety on the earlier models. The resulting plastic trigger design has gone through several iterations since it's introduction in 1979. The best bet would be to send me some pics of the trigger that came out of the gun so we can ID what you got. thesocietyforprofit@gmail.com If have an earlier 1938B, and it sounds like yours fit that desciption the current model trigger with the anti-beartrap device will not work. You'll need an earlier plastic trigger to replace the busted/broken one if you want to keep it stock.

I have a model 1894 out of Rogers, AZ. It needs a cup and wiper for the plunger. The entire rifle is in pieces but nothing is missing. I'd like it super tuned with the most powerful mods. Would you consider doing that for me?

@@NotSoDumb Your best bet to get it reassembled is Baker Airguns. As far as tuning a Model 1984 for more power I'm not aware of anybody who is pursuing that type of work. I'd head over to the DaisyTalk forum and dig around. There are fellas there that do love their 1894's.
