Nothing is more fun then a red ryder for just some non-stop plinking. My Christmas edition is dang accurate too for what it is. I take it out when I want to launch tons of BBs and dont want to worry about pumping, refilling, or loading pellets. Just pure Americana!

Btw, the leather strap is for attaching to a saddle on a horse like the real old lever action cowboy guns. If I'm not mistaken.

I had one of those back in the seventies. I put thousands of bb’s through it. I was able to hit half pence coins from about 6 metres. My rifle had cheap plastic furniture. My mother made me sell it when allegedly I broke a neighbour’s window. I still deny it was me to this day. I really miss that little gun. I might buy a new one, just because of nostalgia.. 😄

I have one of the Umarex legends lever action, but that is Co2 and you have to put pellets in shells, so you can only load 10 into the rifle. Still lots of fun though. Shame they don't make an SMLE with the loading cartridges.

Great video as always. Have you ever heard of the Dust Devil BBs? They are frangible. Meaning they disintegrate on impact with hard surfaces. They won't ricochet for that very reason. I've never been a fan of the Daisy Red Ryder. Simply for the fact that you have to pour BBs into a reservoir, take the rifle off the shoulder and then hold it with one hand whilst pulling the lever action to cock it. But then holding it muzzle up whilst cocking it is what allows the BB to fall into the chamber. So i might seriously consider getting one. Compared to the Walther Winchester lever action or the Umarex Legends Cowboy C02 rifles, this is definitely an excellent alternative. I do wish they would make a spring powered Colt Peacemaker replica for those of us on a budget.

There's a guy on here that use to kill rattlers with a red ryder. He's also one of the best pistol shots with an airgun I've ever seen. Shoots aspirin on a quick draw. Donze52 is the channel.
