I really like them together probably more so than any of Daisy's other love interests. The reason I'm saying that is because ward, Lincoln, and deke(whose love for Daisy was only one way) all met her when she was really struggling to find her place or was conflicted in some way, and obviously they cared about Daisy but also saw her as someone who needed their protection, guidance, etc. Sousa on the other hand met Daisy when she was at her best, and I think that made him like her more, and he's ONLY met Daisy at her best, so he wouldn't ever want her to be at anything less than that, which is just so wholesome honestly.

It's funny that even those of us who love and do ship them (🙋🏻), are also blown away by how quickly we've bought into it. It doesn't feel forced or out of place imo because knowing what we know about who they are individually makes us appreciate them even more as a potential couple. He literally spelled out the type of people the two of them are and it just makes so much sense. If this had happened in any of the previous seasons, it probably wouldn't have worked but because these are the final episodes and every storyline feels urgent/intense, it works. It also helps immensely that Chloe and Enver have natural, blazing hot chemistry 🔥

Plus, it's been pretty clear that his crush on her hasn't been reciprocated at all so I never thought a relationship was feasible for them. I don't think they'll become an actual couple immediately. Since Sousa won't remember any of their lovely moments, I think there's less of an inclination to force them together. My guess is since Daisy remembers, she'll be the one to initiate the relationship or officially open that door for them in the last episode when everything winds down. Yes, I'm going on the assumption that he will survive (I refuse to believe that they faked his death only to have him die for real and break Daisy's heart yet again) and that he will go where she goes since there's no going back for him anyway.

There are so few episodes left. I don’t know what purpose it’d serve to give Daisy the perfect love interest at the end, the kill him off within a few episodes with no where else to go from there. Daisy started off as an orphan and found her family in shield. Now the show is ending and Enok even predicted that the team will disperse. Daisy is closest to Coulson in the team (as a father figure and that is mutual for them) but he kind of wants to properly die. And even if he keeps on living he needs to have his happy ending with May. Daisy, though she will surely be like a daughter to them both, is too old and independent to move in with her parents. So she needs a different satisfying ending, a home where she won’t feel abandoned and an orphan anymore. I think Sousa could be that home for her, after Shield disperses. (Still a Small possibility she may live with the inhuman community Since they will likely be an important part of the last part of this season and Jiaying is back as a more decent person, willing to work with Shield and humans, not kill them all. But again: Daisy is too old and independent to move in with her parents.)

I love this new development! I think it makes total sense and it feels so much more natural than it did with Ward and Lincoln. Ward saw her as the girl from the van who needed constant protection and Lincoln saw her as the helpless new inhuman who needed his help for her own survival. They both had this dominating dynamic that really played out with the chemistry on screen. But Sousa sees her as this ‘modern Peggy Carter’ in the sense that she’s an absolute badass, whilst also acknowledging that Daisy has quite a different personality to Peggy as she’s young and playful. In essence, he sees how strong she is and is just happy to be a part of her life and if that means making sure she has her gauntlets on before she heads into almost certain death (which let’s face it, really isn’t the biggest problem on this show), then that’s what he’ll do to show how he feels about her. He won’t hold her back, because he truly cares about her. So that’s my TEDtalk on why Daisy and Sousa belong together. P.s please don’t kill him writers!!

I would say the only exception to this is Robbie (who never really saw her as someone who needed his, or anyone's protection really) I think he saw her as his equal. Probably not in the same way that Sousa sees her as a ''modern Peggy Carter" as you put it, but Robbie never had a dominant dynamic with Daisy and I think if they were a thing he would never hold her back either because he understood the pain she was going through as he was more or less going through it himself at the same time. And after getting to know her, he knows she's a force to be reckoned with so I'd believe he'd just help her with whatever he could

OtherVids I hadn’t even thought about Robbie, that’s a good point! I loved his scenes and their chemistry was really good as well! An incredible actor! I remember shipping them at the time but there was just the one problem that, even though they are equals in power, their sense of justice is completely opposite. Daisy works for SHIELD, thus follows some sort of moral guideline whereas Robbie is basically a slave to Ghost Rider and carries out justice without the need for judge or jury, even if Robbie doesn’t want to. I totally agree with you that they had good chemistry because there was no dominance there but I still don’t think it would have worked out in the long run because I feel like Ghost Rider would have come in the way of their relationship. But I definitely think it would have been really fun to explore! Interesting thought: it might be an interesting interaction if Sousa and Robbie somehow meet in an upcoming episode? I think that jealousy side of Sousa would be interesting character development for him as a whole, even aside from his relationship with Daisy!

Anna Nightingale I do agree on some level about the ghost Rider thing, but I do think by the end of season 4 he was much more in control of the ghost Rider, they were working much more in harmony it seemed. And yeah, that would be an incredibly interesting reaction if Sousa and Robbie met, although I don't know or think that there would be too much of jealousy with Sousa as Daisy and Robbie started and ended things as friends, albeit close friends. I think more likely Sousa might think that Robbie is trying to hinder Daisy. I'd also wanna see Sousa's reaction to the Ghost Rider himself lmao that would probably be hillarious

I think that it's more about the fact that he takes care of her and supports her. I don't think that she got that from anyone since Lincoln (I'm not couting Coulson because that's not romantic relationship). Like after Fitz tortured her in s5 I can't remember ANYONE asking her how she feels, even more half of the team ignored her. How did this work out so well?! AoS doesn't exactly have the best track record with Ships for Daisy. The Ward & Lincoln ships all have super diehard shippers and haters. I did see Enver Gjokaj play an NYPD cop in The Avengers. The two men Peggy Carter ever loved were literally face to face for a brief moment. Who would've thought that cop would go on to do incredible things.
