The unregistered hypercam though. I love the idea that this could have been made in 2009ish with someone's flip phone, blackberry, or iphone camera, put on their computer, and then instead of uploading the video file (maybe for proprietary file type reasons and lack of conversion software) they just screencaptured the playback with the free version of hypercam lol.

I remember getting a Sony Walkmann digital music player (I can't call it an MP3 player because it didn't play that file type) and having to use their proprietary BS root kitted software to convert my MP3s into their proprietary audio codec because they made it so no one else has access reasonably to that codec. I had heard much later that certain versions of that software would do something that prevented you from ripping CDs from your computer's disk drive. I think I was just a little late for that thankfully. Thankfully I was relatively tech savvy for a 12 year old in the early 2000s otherwise this Christmas gift would have been a nightmare.
