Daiwa Saltist LD30 saltwater fishing reel how to service

I always marvel at how you remember all these many reels. That handle is quite something. I’ve never used a two speed reel like this. I will bet this is a quite expensive reel. I’m not sure I’m skilled enough to service this reel. With my limited vision I have difficulty seeing how to place small parts like that little spring. Beautiful job Dennis!

Yes, this is a versatile reel. The 2 speed reels allow for high speed retrieve on plugs and lures when jigging and low speed the deep drop fishing - It is ore expensive than most. They run around $300 in the current version

I compare Daiwa quality with a Penn. Both are quality Reels in my humble opinion.

Yeah I mean I feel like diawa is just a little more refined spinning reel wise though penn is good

That handle assembly is just to difficult . Surely there is a simpler way .

Most 2 speed reels have a version of this set up. All require extra patience to get the set right - Thanks Bobby
