Daiwa SP Minnow New Colors and Fishing Tips

Had to show the new colors so everyone can get a good look at them so they can decide what colors they want. Also some fishing tips on the Daiwa sp Minnow.

Right on! I replaced the back hook on my sp minnow with a bkk 2/0 in-line hook and noticed more hook ups on bigger game.

Really liking the videos and been watching since the beginning. Love the SP Minnow. I upgrade the split rings and hooks of course. Had plenty action with the Bone White color, but I've been on losing streak with all the fish spitting the hooks so far. My bro has been getting lucky though lately. I just uploaded a video with a nice little GT he caught with an SP minnow last weekend.

Sweet vid. Yup that's the only problem with the SP Minnow lots of fishes spitting the hook so. I just got some single hooks that i'll swap the back treble hooks from the Diawa. Hopefully then will get more solid hook ups. I'll post the pic of the hooks on my Island Hooking face book.

I picked up the new sinking chrome minnow, I landed a big spanish mackerel on it. Oh and yes, it is extremely shiny in the sun lol.

How does it work with the single hook in back? I just hooked up yesterday and i noticed that the rear treble is slightly bent so the single sounded good. Thx

Hey Dawson the single works great. The Diawa lures are a little small so the trebles are small and weaker so that's why I put the stronger single hooks. Also less chance of getting the lure stuck on the reef. But once the single hook locks in its pretty much set.

Those lures are super light arent they? I cant get enough distance with them how much distance are you getting?

I get about 75 -80 depends how big the line and what pole your using. Having the wind to your back helps also. The lures are not made for distance but small bays and shoreline where the GT or Omilu hang out so you really don't need the distance.

Shucks don't know the size but get the purple one. All the different sizes come in different colors.

Haha went fishing and left them behind by accident. so ill try it out this week and see how it goes.

zlidewayz i used a 2/0 in-line on the tail hook and landed a 21inch Omilu. Hook set perfect

Only the rear change the hook to 2/0 in-line hook just only the rear has to change ???

They are both sinking and floating. Both are good
