ഇതിന്റെ ഒറിജിനൽ petrol engine ആയിരുന്നില്ലേ നല്ലത്? Front ഗ്രിൽ എന്റെ അഭിപ്രായത്തിൽ mark III ആണ് ഭംഗി എന്നു തോന്നുന്നു. (1979 ൽ മാത്രമേ ഈ model ഉള്ളൂ ). വട്ടത്തിനുള്ള seperate indicater light ആയിരുന്നു. പിന്നെ അത് square light ആയി mark IV വന്നപ്പോൾ. മുവ്വാറ്റുപുഴ ആണ് വണ്ടി ബിൽഡിംഗ്‌ സാമ്രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ തലസ്ഥാനം. അവിടെ വളരെ പഴയ ambassador കാറുകൾ alteration ചെയ്തു, matador ന്റെയോ, ജീപ്പ് ന്റെയോ എഞ്ചിൻ കയറ്റും. അത് start ആക്കി നിർത്തിയാൽ അറിയാൻ പറ്റില്ല. നമ്മൾ ഒന്ന് തൊട്ടു നോക്കിയാൽ ഒരു ചെറിയ കുലുക്കം അല്ലാതെ ഒരു ശബ്ദവും ഇല്ല. Door തുറന്നടക്കുന്ന ശബ്ദം ഒരു പത്തടി അകലെ jaz drum ചെറുതായി അടിക്കുന്ന ശബ്ദത്തിലെ bass മാത്രം. Clutch, brake, accelerator തുടങ്ങിയവ ചവുട്ടിയാൽ -വണ്ടിയോടു ഒരു connection നും ഇല്ലാതെ പെടൽ മാത്രം ചവിട്ടുന്ന പോലെ. കളർ മിക്കവാറും oil black, steel ന്റെ വലിയ തിളക്കം ഇല്ല. Front glass നു മുകളിൽ shade ഇല്ല. വീതിയുള്ള ടയർ, പ്ലേറ്റ് ചെയ്ത റിം. Front - mark IV ന്റെ simple ഗ്രിൽ. Front bonet ലും, back ഡിക്കി കവറിലും steel ബീഡിങ് ഇല്ല. ഉള്ളിൽ കയറിയാൽ ഒരു മായ ലോകം ആണ്. Tinted glass. ഇതു 1999- 2000 വർഷത്തിൽ തൊടുപുഴയിൽ ഞാൻ കണ്ട, കുറച്ചു മാത്രം ഓടിച്ച car. എന്റെ ഒരു സുഹൃത്തിന്റെ car ആയിരുന്നു. അതെല്ലാം ഇന്നും മനസ്സ് നിറഞ്ഞു നിൽക്കുന്നു. പക്ഷെ അത് കാണാൻ ഉള്ള ഇച്ഛാശക്തി ആ കമ്പനിക്കാർക്കു ഇല്ലാതെ പോയി. ആ കാറിൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ സുഹൃത്തിനോടൊപ്പം തൊടുപുഴ നിന്നു എറണാകുളം വരെയും തിരിച്ചും യാത്ര ചെയ്തു. അതിൽ യാത്ര ചെയ്യുന്ന ഓരോ നിമിഷവും വലിയ വിഷമം ആയിരുന്നു. യാത്ര ഇപ്പോൾ തീരുമല്ലോ തീരുമല്ലോ എന്ന വിഷമം. ഹിന്ദുസ്ഥാൻ motors ഇതു നേരത്തെ അറിഞ്ഞു ഡിസൈൻ ചെയ്തിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ ഇവിടെ ഒരു ജപ്പാനും ജർമനിയും അമേരിക്കയും ഇറ്റലിയൊന്നും വരില്ലായിരുന്നു. എന്റെ മനസ്സിൽ ഇന്നും എന്നും അതിനോടടുത്തു നിൽക്കുന്ന മറ്റൊരു car ഇല്ല. ചോരയും മാംസവും ഇല്ലാത്ത ഒരു യന്ത്രം മനുഷ്യന്റെ കുടിൽപ്പിറപ്പാകുന്ന പോലെ. ഇന്നത്തെ alteration നിരോധന നിയമം ഇല്ലായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ എന്നു തോന്നി പോകുന്നു.

64 Ambi was available in petrol engine without a/c only.. Diesel engine started from mark-4 edition..When you are wish to fix air conditioner for deselized Ambi, enough engine power should required, & usually matador engine was apt which was available on that time in India. Matador engine was powerful, but produced more sound .. After the olden days BMC & Izuzu diesel engines were came on market.
