Rating - 10/10 - I AM NOT OKAY! This broke me inside guys. I couldn't catch my breathe at one stage. Dean strikes again with his single man tear! That whole dialogue was BRUTAL in the best way. I love pain. Hahahaha *Laughs turns to cries*. I have more of an in depth discussion at the end of this reaction so tune in for that & let me know your opinions :)

This scene was really moving and it goes to show how much more of a parent Dean is than Mary. The whole time he is listing Sam’s pain and struggles never once did Dean mention his own going to hell, loosing Lisa and Ben, dying multiple times, being turned into a demon, going on a killing spree while under the mark of cain’s influence, releasing the darkness, he only talks about Sam and what he suffered. Yet he also understand’s Mary’s choice the deal she made working with the men of letters she wanted to make the world safe for her boys to live in and Dean doesn’t judge her.

Fun fact: when they were getting ready to film the scene where they take hammers to the wall, the director decided they needed to test out the idea first. So they gave them a solid concrete wall and told them to bust through it. In this case, reality was better than fiction; they got all the way through in about 30 seconds. Jared and Jensen are bona fide badasses. :D

fun fact-- that scene with them taking the sledge hammers to the concrete wall, was the 2nd one built.....the crew or the director one asked them if they would have a problem with it, especially Jared with his shoulder, they took it as a challenge. And, let's just say Jared and Jensen reduced the 1st wall to rubble in just a few minutes, astonishing the crew, so they had to rebuild it hahahahhaa

Finally! This is one of my favorite episodes in the whole series.....it's just......Jensen just kills it with that emotional scene.....Dean finally gets his peace with his mum....and Sam finally grows up and takes up that leadership mantle ....I just love this episode😍😍😍

Jensen mentioned that the reason Amara brought Mary back was for that scene in particular (jensen saying "I hate you..."). Gave him what he wanted most. It wasn't his mom he wanted most, it was him being able to forgive her, it what he wanted most.

I call bull on that. It's just them trying to come up with an excuse for bringing Mary back. And personally, her character was better left dead given how much a stick in the mud she was to watch. Never in the series, Dean blamed his mom for what happened until the melodrama moment this episode, he only wanted to have her around more something she loved to not do given how much she left them when she got revived and in the end came off as a poorly written side character than earning the status of bringing a good ally to them. I still feel like they only brought her back for ratings and it's dumb as she was a cause for the boys to become hunters, reviving her takes away a loss that builds them up, it's a horrible writing move.

@@chaitanyatanamala1464 you're really passionate about her coming back. Me on the other hand, didn't mind her coming back. Whatever the reason the writers brought her back, it was still great giving Dean his chance to let out the frustration she caused them and then to also forgive her to let that frustration go. Whatever their reason for bringing her back, the scene with him, and Jensen's acting is superb. I wish he won some award for it. I won't sit here to try and change your mind, it's good you have a different opinion. I wasn't let down. In the end, the whole show was great and I'm glad I stuck with it. Hope your day is well. @@CallMeVictor89 Passionate? Her coming back was not the right move. Sometimes you leave losses as losses. Bringing back something that defines them is not good as it takes the loss away. Sam and Dean having 1 day with her revived is better than just reviving the character for a long time for her to do nothing until...well you know what happens. I mean they do what I did mention, but with another character. Somehow they make him despite being brought back look way, way better than Mary though not surprising given who plays this character is a better actor. I did find Jensen to be the better actor of the two brothers, considering the guy's voice is not gruff like that, I do miss his earlier voice from the first seasons where it sounded more normal as the gruff voice got tiring after a while. Have a good day as well and thanks for responding nicely to my differing opinion, I don't agree with yours, but I'll choose to respect it for what it means to you.

@@chaitanyatanamala1464 no need to thank me. Just being human. If we all had the same opinions, life would be boring. And yes, I don't like to say it but Jensen was the better actor. Don't get me wrong, love Jared but Jensen was my favorite between the two.

@@CallMeVictor89 I found Dean to be the one with the most character out of the two as he does have a base personality with Sam's being hard to pin down as with Dean there's a distinct way he is portrayed while Sam sometimes changes for a plot though Dean suffered this well.
