Fun Fact: That whole exchange between Sam and Dean about using the grenade launcher was improvised.

Same here. A lot of shows do that. Is it so difficult to find people who can really talk german?

@@ninjanibba4259 I mean no offense but most of you don't even know the difference between Austria and Australia so that doesn't surprise me.

I think the reason this season has a different vibe is because this is when we got a brand new showrunner and staff of writers. Most of the old writing team left in season 11 after their contract was up.

As far as the accent, most kids raised in the US will not have their parent's accent because they learn English from school, friends, and TV.

Honestly I liked how quirky they wrote Hitler. Every time he yelled was great. I know it would have been controversial l, but maybe a 2 or 3 episode arc would have been nice. Give Dean a chance to hate him even more than the obvious reasons.

It does make sense that he became insane trapped in that watch, he has been in there a long time.

almost forgot about this ep but agreed that the ep while decent had a different feel at times but was still good. got a kick out of Dean almost pleading with Sam to use the grenade launcher and then his disappointment that he wouldn't get to... lol and of course Dean killing Hitler and feeling deserving of his fave baked treat... and of course the unspoken thirst by Dakara, "Yes, you deserve some pie"... and silently volunteering to be said baked treat.... lol great stuff to end the week with D that gets you 2 CTU's from me.... keep em coming!

About Dean not "talking about his feelings" well to be honest Dean has already admitted last episode that he was gonna try his best and aknowledged all of that, and he's finally staring to open up a little bit more, that whole process is going inside of him, and it's so important that he is aware of it! so I think it's fine because after 30 years or so of having those attitudes about your feelings.. well, it takes time to truly change, he's not gonna be suddenly the most open person in the world, but he's getting there, and Sam is always kind of pushing Dean to talk about things so this aspect of their relationship is normal and it takes time too to change that, and Dean needs his time too, they all do. They all deal with things differently. Also Dean is not yet ready to fully open his whole heart talking about difficult stuff that Sam was asking him to do, and even less to Sam not until they have a more equal ground and really let go of that parent and son relationship they sometimes have I think. But he's starting to use better coping mechanisms, that's so important I think. So instead of staying home and feeling sorry or drinking or something like that, to deal with his feelings about Mary, he goes to kill some nazis :D and even hitler himself, and I think that's a better coping mechanism :p DID YOU NOTICE THO?? lol Ellie escaped through the bathroom window from the freaking nazis :(((( I cry we all cry........ Charlie I miss you Oh and Dean can't deal with those ships~~ ha ha ships~~ Dean paralleled with Christoph because he was also trying to make his father proud but then he started seeing everything that was wrong and realising that things were unfair! And Dean went trough that with his father and now similarly with his mother trying to make her proud and all but feels he is failing. But this season we are seeing a lot of fathers that reminds of John and Sam and Dean have really moved so far from where they were at the beggining of the show in that sense. But Dean kills that horrible father here and it's glorious, they are bringing back that aspect of their family and they are gonna explore that. A thing I love.. Dean accepting that "sublimation is his thing" :D which yep he does that a lot and he's accepting it, and that's a pattern with him lately, I'm just repeating myself tho Also this hitler is cartoony and weird because they were trying to bring the real one back and it went wrong, that's what I think anyways and since we are dealing with the topic of bringing things back from the past, and people too, Mary, and how things can't be the same as they were I think it fits. He kills hitler as a great achievement after the fails he feels he has had , but at the same time it is a great thing for himself not necesarly a life or death situation to save the world as the hero. Obviously the episode gets very political too, and the situation that was happening at the moment it aired in the USA. We love Dean who's always going to do his best to stop evil and someone who will always defend what's right and he knows he deserves his pie for that.

It bothers me so much that they never cast real Germans so it sounds more believable XD it always sounds like an American doing a bad German expression. It would be an interesting detail if at least H himself spoke correct German
