I had a huge pet peeve with this so much so that my family sent me out the room as I kept going on about it. As someone who knows about and wears historical clothing (only 50's and 70's currently as others are more expensive though I do long for a 1790's gown) it really bothered me, I'm glad someone else mentioned it.

Really enjoyed both season one and two. But watching this.... the corset thing again! Ahhh! Firstly IRL they wore a chemise underneath it was not worn against bare skin as per the clip shown and secondly it was not tight laced . Corsets worn properly and not tight laced are not uncomfortable. But yet again we have a modern actress saying oh the corsets!
