Make sure you get your resin to fibre ratio correct, too much resin will make it stiff but brittle, not enough and it will be weak. I would also suggest using some aramid on the lover surface and as a wrap.

Those plastic blocks do not cause much resistance unless the hole is too small. A drill bit will never make them just right. I take a sharp hobby knife and scrape the inside of the hole until the fit is perfect. Don't try to cut with the knife, scrape, like how a wood worker uses a card scraper. It leaves a very smooth surface. If you have good forstner bits they work best for drilling the initial hole, then tune with the knife scraping.

I like how your fuel tank is designed. Out of curiosity, is the plan to sump from the bottom for fuel tests and draw fuel for the engine from a point slightly above that?
