hi to clear up any possible confusion we got a 40 run finished at 11 pm on the third also mister reginalds and jsat's run's very obviously dont count since if we went by exclusive private play tests as worlds first there would never be a worlds first for anything (it is also VERY commonly accecpt in just about every game competition ever that if you tested the content you are excluded from anything that could be seen as competitive. for fairness reasons since it would be a HUGE un fair leg up on everyone else) also we finished this and the title all within a 24 hour window. it was mega fun i hope to see you chatting in my discord :D

This is some top tier gamer stuff man, well done. Learned a lot by watching. That Boss battle early on with the horde and all those specials outside that room was very well played, manipulating the horde in and out of that house/chokepoint, pulling out to get more space to move and not get pinned just at the right moment, corralling them as they follow you all out. Love this game man, scratches my brain in all the right places when I'm on my game and in that flow state. Gameplay is 10/10. Hope all the other side stuff and balance variety they are lacking on gets addressed...

I feel bad cause I get a lot of requests from ogyrns for havoc but I don't accept any of them. Ogyrn has no value when compared to what the other classes provide. Psyker has bubble for gunners, and the other two have gold toughness + stun abilities. Charge is pretty good too but provides no team value. Ogyrn has nothing that can compare to shout, bubble, or chorus.

@ I can acknowledge I was probably unnecessarily harsh. My main issue is don’t you feel kinda silly with how much you bashed this ability? Now you’re constantly calling for it to be up throughout the entire mission? Havoc is obviously different than the base game modes/Auric, but I feel it would have been worth mentioning something like “Bubble could be really good in the future if the difficulty ramps up.” I guess what I’m saying is sometimes you come off so extreme, brash, or black/white in your takes that it makes you less flexible and adaptable. Gotta admit when you’re wrong, or when things change basically. All that said, congrats on world’s first! I respect the skill!

All the friends I used to play with stopped playing because I pushed to auric maelstorm and they didn't want to. So hopefully within all these creator discords (including your own) I can find a consistent group that listens to call outs and isn't braindead

Great run. I appreciate you sharing it so we can learn from it. Impressed with you calling the shots and ordering the squad around like a true shouty vet. Good tactics and teamwork to take the fights at places and times that gave you the advantage. Also cool to see you using the plasma gun to deliberataly aggro enemies ahead so they would come and fight you where you were all set up to face them, like a real Imperial Guard squad luring enemies into an ambush situation. Excellent game play and a good example of a team working to maximise their strengths and supporting the team.

This map id also pretty rough though. I feel there's loads of wipes on it in the middle tunnels. Helps to have a coordinated team of course which mitigates people getting separated like in quickies, but that rough terrain after the dropdown in the tunnels... So many lives have been lost by a dodge getting snagged on that ground...

Anyone vet worth their salt above regular Damnation knows that shredder ‘nades are the best in both damage and utility. Krak ‘nades are a noob trap. Shredder-5% Damage-Shout-WepSpec vet with all grenade talents is one of my favorite builds that’s both very powerful and very fun to play.

Between a krak and shredder, I take shredder cause a zealot does boss damage better and your plasma deals with armour so all that's left is horde which is shredder. A pysker has more horde clear but a stun plus bleed never hurts.

As soon as I saw those builds at the end of the video, I went: "yoink!" But then I noticed also that the purge staff wasnt at Max Power and the dude was missing 14% warp resistance. Might be a dump stat, but still better to have 14% more than not having it! Also Tanner, you didnt show the bottom of the 2nd zealot build.. Great run in any case and I was impressed with the grenade perk. You got so many grenades with that perk and spamming them on those chokes was just amazing!

I know you’ve bashed bubble to no end in the past. But I’m a little disappointed to see it like everywhere in Havoc? Is it that necessary to have a bubble since the mode is harder? Can’t you use skill to kite enemies and use other Psyker cooldowns?

Emperor's Fading Light modifier makes ranged enemies extremely lethal in high havoc. Enemies shoot faster and in larger bursts. There's also no toughness grace period for ranged fire, so the moment your toughness goes down, you're taking health damage. The bubble allows the team to hold and take advantage of strong chokepoints that otherwise would've been terrible positions due to ranged sightlines. It also gives the team breathing room against pus-hardened flamers and trappers, which have ludicrously high ranged damage resist (they can take multiple throwing knives to the head). The map opens up a lot because of bubble. Mechanical skill can only get you and your team so far in this mode. Kiting in here will result in you running out of room to play. Bubble enables holds and is probably a must have due to how powerful the ranged enemies are. Havoc demands your team build appropriately, and bubble is frankly the direct counter to Emperor's Fading Light.
