Now that Buggy announced that Cross Guild will also search for one piece, i think Buggy will appear at final clash between Blackbeard and Shanks too. Would be extremely funny if he would be the only one left at this island and public will give him all the credits for defeating Shanks/BB. Also, Mihawk meeting Shanks could reveal their past. Also, Buggy "winning" may as well be the "unexpected outcome" Oda hinted, because this outcome will be "real" in terms of One Piece universe for the public eye

There is a subtle continuous theme I realized from Mama Drawk, where everything is about waiting for when the time is right. Laboon, Shanks going for the One Piece, Mihawk fighting Zoro, etc etc. And Blackbeard’s whole thing is waiting for when the time is right. It calls back to the very first chapter, when Shanks doesn’t fight Higuma until the time is right, when his friends are threatened. And the Luffy does the same thing in Jaya, where he connects with Blackbeard because Blackbeard realizes that Luffy is doing essentially that. Maybe Roger was too early because he had to wait for when the time was right to strike using the One Piece. Maybe there does have to be a balance for the scales to be tipped.

They had Zoro at #8 of all time over people like Kaido, Sengoku, Rocks Akainu, Ben beckman and they also put King at #15 of all time over Kizaru, Shiki, Oden and Rocks. The way I figure the last pirate that luffy will face for the One piece will be shanks !. In Punk Hazard he states he wanted shanks to be the last pirate , that he fights. Based on what’s going on in the story it’s hinting that Black Beard will be the next Yonkou crew luffy takes on. 1. He attack Boa Hancock 2. Kid napped both Koby and pudding 3. Great vid! Loved it! I’m so unsure of how this will all play out. I feel like Imu and the goresei aren’t the final villain of the series, Teech is. Teech is a being of darkness and chaos…and while the world government is positioned as the opposition to Luffy’s central ideal of freedom, it’s also is responsible for an established world order, which positioned as direct opposition to Black Beards central ideal of chaos. Teech, not Luffy, might be the one to bring down Imu and the World Government, throwing the world into complete chaos. I saw a theory that the Strawhats Will actually go to the moon and visit the ancient civilization. I think while they are there, Teech will overthrow the world government…and when the Strawhats return the world will be in chaos…Wano will be the last stronghold of stability (remember momo said he feels what is to come) and Teech will be trying to destroy Wano to get to Pluton.

Just as conq haiki is needed to imbue a sword with a soul and make it a black blade, I think devil fruits require haiki being imbued into a fruit or the Adam or Eve tree to be born. I think the people in the void century and particularly Joy Boy who has been theorized to have been a botanist had people impart their will into the future by creating a soul using their own haiki that can inhabit things like a fruit. In this way dreams never die in the cycle of death and rebirth. Maybe basic haiki is needed to make a fruit at all, while advanced haiki is needed for zoans. And conqueror's haiki is needed to give a mythical zoan fruit a soul.

I've always thought Shanks' story would end in four ways. These are in no particular order. 1, He is actually the main/final antagonist or villain and every other character has been a red herring. 2, He dies before Luffy can return the hat to him. 3. Shanks and Luffy have a Davy Back fight for the One Piece because they tie to Laugh Tale. 4, Shanks and Luffy have an actual fight, not to the death, for the One Piece.

I think Liffy has to battle Shanks and Blackbeard as a part of his progression. With Shanks, it may be directly or indirectly. Luffy has to reach Shanks level of Haki and show he's surpassed him before he could ever claim the One Piece. Blackbeard is the master of devil fruits, and Shanks is the master of haki. Luffy is on his way to becoming the master of both with an awakened devil fruit and mastery of all 3 forms of haki.

I strongly suspect that Shanks was injured by a Zoan devil fruit Blackbeard ate when he was a child (especially since Shanks has 3 scars and Blackbeard’s Wolverine claws have more than 3 blades). I also put stock into the idea that he’s either some sort of anomaly or experiment and has 3 souls or 3 personas, or 3 bodies in one and that this Zoan fruit is his original devil fruit. Either his Zoan fruit is why he doesn’t asleep or it has to do with what many people speculate are his extra souls switching with him so his “original self” can sleep while they’re awake…think of like how in part 1 Naruto whenever Gaara would sleep his inner demon would take over (and hell we know Oda and Kishimoto are friends and Sanji was going to be “Naruto,” BB will definitely have a tragic backstory like Gaara and we can see him looking sad with the moon in the background and Gaara’s tragic backstory was revealed in the “Assassin of the Moonlit Night” episode). I definitely want to see more of Blackbeard and his crew in action since they’re the most interesting thing about OP to me currently.

Hello no. I dislike the theory for a few reasons: I despise the idea that Blackbeard will have 3 fruits, it's too broken and honestly the third fruit won't have the buildup him getting the Gura Gura had so it would fee cheap as well. Also the idea that Blackbeard ate a zoan devil fruit before the Yami Yami is so weird because how did not one person notice that? Why a devil fruit having a personality is unprecedented and doesn't make sense given how not even Vegapunk has noticed that. Also there's no way no one didn't know he had a devil fruit already when you can't swim the moment you get one and Blackbeard was on a ship damn near his entire life with the same people for over 20 years and he hasn't tried swimming once.

Well we need some Character deaths in the Anime, Anime doesn't feel serious enough to be a Final Saga. Not to mention at this point Luffy feels strong enough to Overthrrow the world Government. He has Grand Fleet + Dragon + Rev Army + Shanks + Giant Army. I also Agree that Devil Fruit, Haki, Weopon or Species, None of those Power System is the Strongest. Characters uses a combination of different Power System in One Piece and that's what makes it complex but Interesting at the same Time.

Narrativly speaking, I see one square which would have to be circled regarding a Red Hair vs Blackbeard crew fight: If the actuall fight would be shown, the powers of Blackbeard's crew would be spoiled, making a SH vs BB crew fight feel less epic than it should. On the other hand if you do not show the Fight and just show the losing Side dead or at least clearly defeated, that would not flight to well with the fans. Therefore I would argue, the most likely scenario would be the RH and SH crews teaming up or the SH pirates basiclly tag teaming in for the exausted RH Crew at the last moment. Also I have trouble squaring the dark rage of revenge with the loony toons Gear 5 - it is just to much of a tone and theme clash.

Blackbeard appears much stronger post-ts blocking S-Mihawks slash with only his arm, most of his named crew have strong DFs and now has Aokiji. We get a glimpse of Shanks fleet with Kid and he made Greenbull leave Wano just with his haki. There is no longer any doubt why BB/Shanks are Emperors, effectively replacing Big Mom and Kaido as the 2 strongest since Whitebeard died. Shanks is calculating making his move after he is the last Emperor of the 4 initial ones still standing and the Warlord system abolished next gen PXs revealed. SHs with just the Sunny can't compete v the Red Hair/ Blackbeard pirate groups, if we include the SH Grand Fleet it's much more even. Cross Guild has 2 monsters in Croc and Mihawk and perhaps Buggy if he was playing the fool since he was on Rogers crew and turs out to be a legit endgame threat, but in number of ships and crew seem lacking v the other 3 Emperors overall.

Random thought: what if DFs can eat other DFs? And the yami yami is a zoan fruit that’s eaten a logia. Which is why it behaves completely unlike other logia. I can see a weird guy like BB with a weird body that uses unconventional tactics to ascend the later intentionally seeking an unconventional fruit. And maybe like the nika fruit, bb’s has unique properties that he hides. But unlike luffy, who thought his fruit was the gomu gomu, bb knew from the start that the Yami Yami was a fake name and perhaps he knew exactly what it was. This could also be hinted at since although BB claims he has a logia, he also said his fruit “chose” him and we now know zoans seem to have a roll of their own. I know we've been told that Awakening is the highest level of DF powers, but just like Haki has at least one more tier I think there's one more for DFs which would be Incarnation. I'll Black Clover as an example. The Devils were able to grant people to use their power and the strongest users could get up to 70-100% of the devils powers, but the devils were still their own entities to be summoned. Awakening a DF is finally having your body and will capable of handling the Devil of the Fruit's power. I think it's reasonable to believe that the power can slowly corrupt you or you willingly give yourself over to the DF's will when that happens the Devil of the Fruit after finding a suitable host can Incarnate into the world. While an Awakened user is strong and masterful with the DF powers in their own right, I think that the being from which the power originates from will still be more creative and proficient. This can be another parallel between Luffy and Blackbeard. Blackbeard will end up relying on someone else's power to try and reach his goal, Luffy will ascend to the highest level of Haki and push forward with his own efforts and rely on his own power.

If you're gonna use terms like "erm" to make it sound like its an obvious point, or something I missed, you should check your facts first because it comes off very snotty and doubly so when you're wrong like you are here. Pudding needs to awaken her 3rd eye to read the poneglyphs. She has not done so. Big Mom was trying to get Robin in Wano for that reason. Blackbeard could very well be using her powers for something instead of her 3rd eye. We don't know.

I see Blackbeard having some hard fought 1 on 1s with Shank and Luffy , losing but retreats to regroup and ambush as he always does only to be done in by one of his subordinates most likely Kuzan and Kuzan will probably say something like "this is how you been thriving all along, waiting in the shadows, stabbing your comrades in the back...how does it feel?" Also dont ask me how i just feel Kuzan's ice power will somehow work well against BB. Shanks will most likely die against IMU but not before he does all this exposition on IMU/celestials to Luffy.

Watching the latest anime episode, bb definitely trains haki in those timeskip. He freakin tanked an s-hawk attack directly, he had enough will power to not get turned into stone and, he is either fast enough to get close to Boa/ react fast enough if Boa is the one who attacked.

So if the holy knights weren't enough to stop xebec, I'm guessing it might make sense that he somehow has some sort of advantage against celestial dragons - he does have the "enemy of the gods" D in his name after all. If teach somehow inherited or uncovered this advantage xebec had, that could explain how he was able to scar shanks, who we now know is of noble lineage. If that's the case it would seem shanks stands no chance against black beard, so unless a crewmate can take him out (which honestly they kinda should be able to considering beckmen scares kizaru)...

I think Oda is going to flip the script BB vs Shanks will have Shanks win but Teach escapes and comes back with a 3rd devil fruit vs Luffy later on. But then Luffy refuses to kill BB and thats when Shanks swoops in and kills BB instead Shanks looks at a shocked Luffy in the eye and says the same thing he said in chapter 1 "We aren't saints. We're pirates. This isn't a game Luffy." And thats when I feel Shsnks will challenge Luffy to see if he had kept his word and became a better pirate than Shanks. After Luffy wins, Shanks steps aside amd lets Luffy claim his Captain's treasure ansmd activating the One Piece, thus saving the world as Joy Boy promised.

I mean from a story perspective there are reasons for both shanks and blackbeard to win. Shanks and Luffy have not met in years. At least not properly, so shanks winning would essentially mean he'd be the final hurdle to the one piece, which would be very fitting and poetic that the man who was his inspiration was his final challenge. However, Blackbeard beating Shanks, would mean that Teach would be the final hurdle, and he's been set up as perhaps the big bad at the end of the road, i mean. C'mon, it's BLACKBEARD probably most (in)famous pirate of the real world, what better way to cap off the pirate manga by beating THE pirate, on top of that since ALL of Teaches crew have devil fruits Oda would have a ball giving them wacky zany powers that the crew will have to deal with which you KNOW he would love to do. He loves Devil Fruits since he can make literally anything a fruit, not evening mentioning the Personal Beef he has with Teach given the fact he gave Ace over to the World Government, making him essentially responsible for his death in the end. As it stands, if it comes down, to a fight between Shanks and Blackbeard, I don't see Shanks winning from a story perspective. He will def put up a fight, but in the end he will lose and possibly die. I posit a second possibility of Luffy arriving not at the end of the fight but the MIDDLE and joining in, mostly likely against Teach but possibly against Shanks too. Who knows?

I think it should be pretty obvious that Shanks is Rogers Parallel Mihawk is Whitebeards and BlackBeard is Rocks D Xebec Mihawk and WB have "World's strongest" title and Mihawk seems to "Look up" to Him based on his dialogue in MF Shanks and Roger -Obvious, Shanks looks up to Roger BB and Rocks- BB looks up to Rocks and his Ship is named after Rocks
