It is time that all individuals who are enlightened enough to see the truth and importance of the Dalai Lama's teachings and presence begin to support him however they can, as far as I can see he is our only hope for the future.

I love his message at the end. Whenever I speak to Tibetan monks and start asking questions and going down a rabbit hole of deities and mandalas and all that. They always remind me, it's all about kindness. Don't get lost in the flowery imagery and language; always keep compassion first.

I have been fascinated by Tibetan Buddhism for a LONG TIME. I got an AUDIOBOOK of the Tibetan Book Of The Dead... It was VERY daunting at first. Then it finally hit me... It's ALL "ILLUSION"... and once you REALIZE THAT you're THERE! The whole "THIS DEITY = HERE" and "THIS COLOR = THIS" is FASCINATING... but it's ALL a distraction! And it's PURE AWESOMENESS! ❤❤❤

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama comes on this planet for every sentient being and many persons don’t understand English. A lot of people would like to understand and put into practice what His Holiness says. Thank you so much to translate in other languages His Holiness teachings.

Ok if I understand it correctly, it is a thought of life and time itself that revolves around the theory that whatever positive or negative forces you bring to others will always come back and affect you in the future. This cause and effect is so dormant in everything that it is even possible to build entire cities("Shambala") just by promoting this interest in other people without trying to build it yourself?

Very interesting choice to place it within the North Pole, I agree but I certainly did not expect to hear it from Bob Thurman of all people. Myth of a prosperous nation in the North is very widespread but you do not often hear people mention Shambala among these. I wonder if he has spoken more about this before.

I doubt Kalachakra Tantra was taught by Shakamuni Buddha. More likely by Guru Rinpoche, of course I could be wrong. Guru Rinpoche came from Kashmir area I believe. Atisha brought worship of Tara to Tibet from Bengal, so other people did stuff too. I think Atisha's teacher came from Borobudur, Java.

Guru rinphoche was born in a lotus the place is called tso Pema. Tso means lake and Pema means lotus and this place is 4and half hour away from dharamsala where his holiness the Dalai Lama lives not Kashmir
@frotex96485 жыл бұрын
In the Kalachackra Tantra it is explicitly stated that it was taught by Shakyamuni to the king of Shambhala. It was not propagated by Guru Rinpoche. It is part of the Sarma (new translation school) in Tibet.

Salve. Arrivederci. ))))

If it's ultimately for your own benefit, then that's still selfishness.

it can be the other way around, how can we liberate other or bring peace to others if we don't know peace and liberation ourselves
@Pennee1018 жыл бұрын
I know you wrote this 2 years ago but as a Buddhist I feel I must write what the Buddha taught and that is we always strive for the benefit of all beings. You cannot achieve enlightenment if you are selfishly trying to obtain it only for yourself. There are Buddhist practices where you try and take away another's sufferings by breathing it into your own body. I have had people tell me that they can't do that, that they think they will "catch" the sufferings. It is just the opposite. When you take on other people's sufferings your own sufferings are released.
@10010x0x0x01101XX0X17 жыл бұрын
not if you have false view of self and see yourself as separate from others. suffering is suffering. it's not "my" suffering or "your" suffering.
