Sir you helped me through the worst of problems. I am a Muslim but living in Singapore, I encountered some horrible problems and felt suicidal. I went to a monk who said, Buddhism is a concept not a religion, I am not here to indoctrinate but rather love and help you as your Muslim self. The monk really helped me. I believe without the monk I may of not been here today. You are an amazing human being Dalai Lama and I hope utmost peace to be delivered to you. You brought me so much inner comfort.

His holiness has aged. Can someone tell his holiness his Indian Mahasiddhas homes in India are found. I do research on Buddhism in Bihar- I realize Lakhisarai District of Bihar is the birthplace of Vajrayana Buddhism. It seems through Vajrayana, Tibetans preserved the history of Lakhisarai and the surrounding villages for which Bihar will one day be grateful. The villages around Lakhisarai town were the homes of great Buddhist Maha Siddha’s like Padmasambhava, Tilopa, Naropa, Atisa, Buddha Amitabha, and Dakinis like Mandarva, Niguma, Sukhasiddhi and many more. Special importance is the village of Sahur mispronounced by Tibetans as Zahor. Sahur village has a Dakini temple which is definitely Mandarva who was Padmasambhava’s first consort. Two Km east of Sahur (Zahor) is Dhanari lake with an Island which is definitely Lake Dhanakosha. And three km southeast of Dhanari Lake is Urain village which sounds similar to the Urgain in the Tibetan seven line prayer to Padmasambhava. Both Urain and the Tibetan Urgain mean to fly. Sansar Lake is definitely the lake where Padmasambhava was freed from Samsara. There is a temple called Jora temple with half a dozen Padmasambhava stone statues that are ditto Tibetan Thangka paintings of him. These have been compared by Tibetans.

"When I say Brothers and Sisters I really mean that, at this moment we really need that Spirit. "We" and "they" is an outdated concept, we must have a concept [that] takes entire humanity as our brothers [and] Sisters" Well this got more relevant every year in the 12 years since this was uploaded, the fact that such a profound statement is only 55 seconds into the video shows the depth not only of the wisdom of His Holiness but his deep compassion for all living beings.

Venting frustration/sadness/anger in front of others instead of dealing with the issue. Two friends of my mother comes to mind. Always so uncertain even now in their 40's. Either calling or showing up just to talk for 2 hours about stuff they could deal with. It's not even something serious most of the time, some unpleasant remark or action at work etc. If the suffering is due to my own mistakes, then i will keep it to myself and try my best to deal with it. Nobody can carry us past the finishing line. I feel sorry for my mother who has to listen to this. It's seldom a visit without "bad news" being brought up

According to the Mahāyāna Mahāparinirvāṇa Sūtra, a Mahayana sutra giving Gautama Buddha's final teachings, the Buddha insisted that his followers should not eat any kind of meat or fish. ... Therefore, one's own flesh and the flesh of another are a single flesh, so Buddhas do not eat meat. This being compassionate to all living things brings inner peace.. not all who smile and laugh on the outside are peaceful on the inside..Buddha knew the way..

so.. listening.. and thinking about how we can change our World to one of Peace ... it's been an issue for me all my life.. so I have given it a lot of thought... and I think I have, perhaps, come up with an answer.. and it's quite simple.. the use of force and coercion is wrong.. I think almost everyone can agree with that... our children should be included in this idea.. the use of corpoal punishment is.. definitely force and coercion.. on smaller people.. it's teaching our children that the use of force and coercion is ok.. especially on smaller people... let's stop... see what happens let's give Peace a chance it's our only hope Peace ✌️🕊️☮️☯️♾️🙏 please 🙏

This is a way to improve the relationship with the objective world and strive for freedom by transforming the subjective world. Its core is to transform knowledge into wisdom. Consciousness-only thinking uses eight consciousnesses to explain the structure of mind consciousness. The main function of the first six consciousnesses is cognition; the seventh and last consciousness is also called ego consciousness, which is the source of all troubles, so this consciousness answers the fundamental question of life and death in reincarnation. The eighth alaya is the mind body. It is the reason for the existence of life, the source of the continuous karmic cycle, and the source of the realization of the world’s dharmas, because the alaya is a kilesas, and the all dhammas manifested by it are also vain. You persist in feeling driven by inner peace, living environment does not indeed relied on signs.

The Dalai Lama himself has created an enquiry as to the best way to proceed with his succession. He has proposed a new system, where they choose a monk with the spiritual, cultural and political experience who may potentially take up the seat. This is in his own words. His concerns come from the little reincarnated boy who was abducted and never seen again.
