I got Incesticide for Christmas back in the like 1993 and remember how different it sounded. I was put off by it at first after listening to Nevermind for so long. Over time I really came to appreciate it and that's thanks to Dale's drumming on it. Later on I got into some Melvins and really came to love his drumming. One of the greatest underrated drumming legends of all time.

Grohl will always be an important drummer for me but when you deep dive into the band’s catalogue you discover that Dale was the one that laid down the blue print for the Nirvana drumming style.
