Nice looking calf and hope you have a good calving season. 23k subscribers and you are still growing. You could use solar electric fencing to make smaller paddocks and let the grass revive. Also the grass will grow faster .

The weather here where I am in South-east Queensland Australia has been different to other years too Joanna...very reminiscent of the latter part of the1970s with weekly rainfalls. Quite cold here for us as the moment As I type this its 4.50am and -1° Celsius. We're getting a 'polar blast' from the Southern States. Great looking calf...always a wonderful sight. IMHO all your livestock are looking very good. I hope the weather improves so you can get into haymaking. I've done a lot of hay and sillage in my time and because of the weather not cooperating 7 times out of 10 you need to have the patience of a saint waiting for a chance to get at it. Beautiful view I can see why your dad loved it. Good work Joanna.

Hi Joanna. Oh dear, the vagaries of the weather on your life! However, the arrival of the calf brightens up your day, and that is wonderful. Sending good vibes and many smiles from down south.

Farming is hard enough with decent weather. This year to date has been horrendous. We are having similar weather here in Durham today, and yesterday, were horrendous. One positive is the lambs look well. Take care xx.

Lovely video as always. You and Nick work so well together!!! The weather has been utterly awful but the young bull calf has certainly made up for that!! He looks lovely and strong. Fingers crossed for all the other ladies to have safe calvings soon too. As for your comment in the shed about the “junk” I saw that comment and was going to reply to that person but I would’ve been banned on KZbin for the comment back lol 😂 it’s good you can laugh it off and carrying on doing what you do best 🙌🙌

You not the only ones hooked on the weather apps! Don’t worry too much now, it’s past it’s best but will still make fodder. You might have fun mowing the horizontal stuff though 😩. Think our ground will be to wet again to mow. Don’t think I’ll cut before August now🤦♂

So many lambs!! So can you explain... At sainsburys[other supermarkets are available!] they have fresh lamb-which is either English or NZ at £14 a kg or frozen lamb but definitely NZ at £9.52 a kg... how can it be so much cheaper to export something halfway across the world than eat locally?
@TifJones-p9z5 ай бұрын
because the NZ sheep farmers are being paid so poorly for their lamb meat - around 60-70 quid per head for the NZ farmers and the Brits and Irish are getting around 120-130 quid per head - they could only dream of getting the prices that the Brits and Irish are getting at the moment

This video on here "Stratospheric aerosols and their impact on Sahelian rainfall" explains why we are not having a summer, which is affecting farmers and probably everything else. We have global dimming going on for net zero. Ideologies are not interested in side effects.
