So glad you’ve got a great crop, and finally nice weather. I know that your Dad would be really chuffed with how you and Nick are running the farm. He’d love all the fixed fences and gates, things that never made it to the top of his list, but still needed to be done. Dale Farm is in good hands, you’re good stewards of the land and animals.

I was the same trying to decide when to mow. The boss man was away when I decided to go for it… it was too late to stop me by the time he got back 😆. Broke our 9ft mower and had to resort to the 5”6 drum mower 🤦♂ it seemed like forever mowing a few acres with it!
@DaleFarm5 ай бұрын
Slow process but you got it all done? You seemed to be flat out ! And you got all that rain on the Thursday , whereas here it’s rained for about ten minutes that day and then dried up immediately ! It was a good weather window thank goodness I’m glad it’s in
@casto-5 ай бұрын
@@DaleFarm I’ve had the most acres ever this year, nearly 60 acres to do. Managed just over 40 and have 4 down now 🫣. Yeah there was about 13mm on Thursday morning😫 so took a good day to dry it back to hay. Problem I’ve got is the guys stacking on the estate, they can do about 400 bales before there done for the day soo grass can be dry off 4 days before being baled. Did manage to bale over 1000 in a day on customer jobs😁

why mow with the tractor drawbar down ,what if pin comes out and you lose the drawbar !
@nickj54885 ай бұрын
We've had issues in the past with the PTO rubbing on the drawbar (which is also why the PTO covers are shot) so to get around this we tied a bit of string to the draw bar to lower it out of the way of the PTO. There was a shot on the video where it was a little too low but not like this very often.
