Would please explain again how you pre-set your three sets of webbing? Thanks for a great technique
@CulversWorker
@CulversWorker 11 жыл бұрын
You talked about the three webbings you carry. Could you explain the reason for the way you store them and the general use. For instance you said you have the 18 ft. (9ft loop) stored in the double daisy chain and that's generally for victim extrication. What about the 5ft daisy chain and the straight roll?

Has anyone else tried this harness on themselves? I have found they cause a lot of pain in the crouch when loaded due to the X. Granted a sore groin is better than coffin. Though the x around the arms I do like. Is I have noticed other harnesses that do not have an x. Anyone else thoughts??

Where can I buy these straps..?
@DALEGPEKEL
@DALEGPEKEL 6 жыл бұрын
Do a Google search for 1 inch tubular webbing - I prefer Fluorescent Green - Which is actually a very bright yellow. To make a 9 foot loop you need a piece 20 feet long. To make a 5-1/2 foot loop you need a piece 12-1/2 feet long. Use a Water Knot to tie the ends together to make the loop. Here's an old video showing how: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWerhoqqZ5p_h7c

So what do you use the 5ft strap for?
@DALEGPEKEL
@DALEGPEKEL 7 жыл бұрын
It has both utility and rescue options - For rescue I use it for girth hitching or fastening a shoulder/chest hitch - Sometime referred to as "Fast Strapping" - Which allows you to quickly drag out a victim horizontally and/or up stairs when just doing a grab and go is too difficult.

Dale, where do you recommend purchasing the 5 foot strap with the pre-stitched loops on each end?
