Daleks Opinion About Red Dwarf

Two Daleks are being interviewed on their thoughts on Red Dwarf. But one of them starts to compliment on a famous gag in the show with dire consequences.

You have a problem of two xenophobic sides looking over the other and deciding they CAN defeat the other! And people thought the Daleks and Cyber-Men couldn't get along? The Klingons and Daleks together are a marriage made in Hell! 😁

Fun fact, there were actually attempts to feature the Daleks in Red Dwarf. But the BBC could not secure the rights.

@@nerdofeverything5373 Since they needed to save money during the production of the early series, they agreed with some of the writers that part of their payment would actually come in the form of owning the IP for what they created. In the case of the Daleks, they were owned by the writer Terry Nation and now held by his family.

this was the first time I'd ever seen a dalek, I was a big Red Dwarf fan but too young at the time this was on TV to remember doctor who (I was born during the time it was off air) - I'm now massive doctor who fan too- my how things have changed so glad both these shows are back on tv.

I saw a moving dalek at the fan expo this past weekend and when I asked if it had ever seen red dwarf, it didn't understand the question and started singing the red dwarf theme song. I tried to explain to its companion but she didn't get the joke either!

The BBC in the 60s had little to no budget when making Doctor Who, and had to be creative with what little they had available. And due to the Daleks popularity, they just never bothered with any updates or alterations in regards to the Daleks limitations.Also they did consider giving some Daleks claws so as to grasp items, but William Hartnell who played the original Doctor who was a little cautious about loosing an eye and insisted they use something more softer and less pointier
