Wait till he crosses an Indian road. Sri Lanka road crossings don’t hold a candle to road crossing in Indian cities with no pedestrian crossing anywhere in sight. No zebra crossing, No Belisha beacons and still done the old fashioned way by playing a temporary traffic cop to slow the traffic and take the giant leap of faith that you won’t get run over.

Dale...this must have been the first time you tried an ulundhu wadai?... seen you eat them since but they should be eaten with a green chilli paste else they are too plain... the other wadai can be eaten plain!... the busker at the end was singing a song by the late Jothipala (who was famous for singing in many Sri Lankan movies!) ... nice video!... I keep thinking I'm on the last SL video and find more!... by the time I watch the last one, I'm sure you would have released another dozen!... keep them coming!... by the way what is your favourite Sri Lankan savoury dish?... you seemed to have tried nearly all and you really seem to enjoy them and the spice!... I get so hungry watching you chomp away...see in the villages, people are so slim, healthy, fit and strong!... they grow their own food, cook and eat everything homemade and not processed then work in the fields!... no need the gym and no fast food, junk food that leads to cancer!

You wouldn't believe the number of people that accuse me of practically stealing food from the mouth's of the market vendor and scammy tuk-tuk driver's children by negotiating a fair price, rather than just pay them whatever they ask for. 🤦‍♂️

Yea, I think people raised in a western society who have never travelled just assume that the price is final, it's your job to make sure you're not getting ripped off in a country where it's their culture to haggle for a better price, also some people just love to criticize, I wouldn't worry about it and I'm sure you don't. I will definitely check out your blogs and will be recommending you to other people I know who enjoy this raw style of travel vlog I was going to ask how you sustain yourself while travelling as you said you hadn't been back to Scotland since 2017 but a quick Google of your user name showed me that you're an (ex?) professional poker player so I imagine you had some nice savings hidden away I wish you every success mate, good luck!

Yeah I'm fine for money. Most of the places I travel to are not that expensive anyway, but even in places like Finland I found decent value accommodation and things to do. Scotsmen are good at finding value. :)
