update: after commenting how your vids made me want to get into mountain biking 2 weeks ago, i just picked up a trek marlin 6 and rode it around the neighborhood then took it on a flat trail in the Washington gorge yesterday. It was so much fun! Looking forward to getting the rest of my gear soon and building my endurance because man I AM OUT OF SHAPE haha. Again appreciate you, your vids helped me find my new hobby :)

The more gear you wear, the less a guy thinks of his age and healing time lol ill be parking my camper "somewhere legal" and just have my own lil bike-in, bike-out accommodations. got my 2006 evil imperial w/fox van r 36 fork and 24" wheels...maybe work at the hill to get the free lift pass...maybe bring joints for the lift operators...generally works the same, like carnival ride operators lol have a great season next year

@@ShutUpSceneKid69 yeah i dont know too much about bikes yet but marlin series seemed like a good introductory bike to test the waters. Hope you guys enjoy it!
@ShutUpSceneKid693 жыл бұрын
@@masonbonnell thanks! Marlins are great starter bikes if you’re not going too hard or techy. Itll have everything you need! Only thing you may want to do is get a better saddle to cushion the cheeks a bit and invest in some riding gear besides a helmet. Definitely recommend some cushiony shorts if anything as well. You enjoy as well. Dont send it too hard :)

Hi Dale, again an amazing video. Watching it, you make it look so smooth and easy just like it's a piece of cake. At some points you look down and than say "Oh, that's ok". Oh my, I look and think....if I would have to do it, I would need a serious tranquilizer, pampers an someone to give me a push. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us, keep on enjoying and stay safe.

dang man this looks so fun. I've been slowly getting into mountain biking over the last 3-4 years and I just got a new bike last week! (2016 GT sensor expert) and i strive to do this one day. thanks for a solid 15 minutes of entertainment I'll definitely be subbing. Edit: I also found it hilarious whenever you went up to a drop and looked down and said "not a line" and turned right the hell around 😂

Great riding and footage Dale! Majority of the time I visit Whistler I go Westside trails off flank. Soo many great options but for anyone visiting the thing with Whistler is all but a very few climbs and approaches are very steep and unrelenting. They will test your fitness on the up and and as you can see from Dales video your skill and finess on way down. Always plan for a bit more time, water and food. Besides you'l likely wanna do a 2nd lap or connect a bunch of valley trails or lost lake into the warm up or cool down.

Damnit Dale stop putting your hands out when you fall....shoulder injury...tuck and roll man tuck and roll! Thanks for the great video, I love riding "natural" (not machine made) singletrack. Parks aren't my thing as I actually like to get out into nature and see wildlife, etc. If I wanted to spend as much time with as many people as you do at a BP I'd just rid through town...but if you love BP that's great for you but I think it's a bit of a tragedy that many people get to a place like Whistler and never leave the park.

Are there any tricks to riding rock slabs? There are a few in my area that I'd like to ride, but I really don't know what to expect. I feel like there would be a lack of traction for braking, I've ridden some steep stuff that's really loamy and I'm fairly comfortable with that, but feel like a slab is a whole different creature
