I visited Southfork on 12/27/2010 when I spent Christmas 2010 in Dallas when my youngest song lived & worked there. The area around Southfork impressed me. Southfork is a must visit place when in the Dallas-Forth Worth Metroplex, and most definitely look for a mom & pop Texas Barbeque restaraunt for real Texas Barbeque.

I drive by the one in gold windows often, and still years later I still think , well their is the Barnes Wentworth building. I had always wondered bout Madisons Restaurant. Its been about 25 yrs since I been to Southfork and it sure looks its best now. Thank You

@@artworks3d Thank you so much for this outstanding tribute to "Dallas" and showcasing the locations used for the series. I NEVER get tired of that iconic theme song and you have underscored your production with it beautifully here. No word of a lie Mr. Lewis...I became a film and television Location Manager because of the excitement I used to feel as a kid watching the series 78 - 91 and was able to work in the business for 32 years. I thank the production team from "Dallas" for the inspiration for my career choice and I thank you for combining my favorite series with my beloved job. If I lived in the great city of Dallas I KNOW I would have attempted to the same thing myself....likely not half as well as you have provided for us here. And..if you live in Texas please know that you are in my family's prayers. We have known the agony of bitter cold weather, lack of water and burst pipes. Never combined during a pandemic time period however and I pray you and yours are faring well.

Yes I like the first Southfork ranch from season 1... it was the Cloyce Box Ranch in Frisco, Texas (now Brinkmann Ranch). The ranch house is gone, burned down in 1987.. google the address: 10514 E. Main Street, Frisco, TX 75036

@artworks3d10 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your kind comment! This is a project I've wanted to do for a long time, and more of the locations are changing (or disappearing) with time... Yes, I wasn't sure what to call the bar except "Digger's Bar" but you are correct, it's the place Digger was when Pam went with Cliff to tell him she married a Ewing. Good stuff! Thanks --

The theme alone will stand the test off time. The show has so many possibilities to go forward with. A. Feature movies, following the original history in the proper time frames 1. Dallas the Early Years remake with original script. set 1930's - early 1950's 2. Dallas Coming Forward: 1950's -1978 putting together all the stuff that went on at the ranch and in town shaping up for 80's 3. Dallas Premium: Mini retake of epic things that happened on the show. Valene coming back, Julie being pushed off the roof, JR Mortgage South Fork ......Who the hell could ever forget Miss Ellie saying so coldly so perfectly " JR I might NEVER forgive you for this. They could continue the series modern style. Eliminate all the TV Movies and the 2012 series. Use the the Original show 1978-1992 as cannon. The younger generation would be interested in the family history / South Fork / Ewing OIl. finding answers to unasked questions. Upsetting Sue Ellen, Bobby and any other original character. There could be storylines that would bring in younger and new fans as well as us diehards. Fake potentiel Story line: John Ross' teenage daughter has been watching the stupid Ghost Hunter Shows on TV. She is convinced that South Fork with all its history Civil War - Present must be Haunted. She and her freinds from school do online and Physical research at the ranch. They Call in a pysic medium who is of course a fake but has way to much info on the Ewings. She tries her hand at Blackmailing John Ross, and his wife who do thier best to keep everything from Sue Ellen as they don't want to upset her with the painful past. Too late the awful medium has got Sue Ellen thinking she is seeing Ghosts at South Fork. Another fake story line: The Ewing youth have decided that they want to do Ancestory Testing on the family. The results come back with John Ross having (Sheppard Family history for Mother and unknown for Father. Christopher has Ewing for Father and Sheppard for Mother. ...... Of course everyone assumes the samples were accidentally switched. Everyone except Bobby, Sue Ellen and Lucy! Lucy is not saying anything she just laughs alot about it and states how she always has a good time coming home. LOL that was fun I wish I had the rights to the show!

This is great but I'd like to see like Rebecca's house in Houston where Katherine moved back to. That was a beautiful house as well as Cliff's condo from 1982 to 1991, April's condo from 1987 to 1991, Ray's 2nd house later McKay's from 1986 to 1991. If there is a video please let me know. Thank You!!
@artworks3d5 жыл бұрын
willisapril thank you for commenting. I don’t know of any photos or videos with those locations... the later episodes were filmed in California so that may be where Ray’s second house is. I’ve never been able to locate Cliff’s early condos, and Houston is a far drive for me (I’m in Fort Worth) LoL

I went there 2016 - Southfork Ranch and hardly any people were there. The person who owns the Ranch sold the Southfork Hotel and the new owner does not keep the former Southfork Hotel clean. If South Fork Ranch does not start making money like it use to, I am afraid that it will shut down for good.
