I'm glad Mr. Pileggi agreed to take part. He was sooo good as the asst FBI director on the cult show The X-files. His presence might make a difference if they ever try to bring this show back. I wouldn't mind seeing one more season of the new generation of Ewings.

@@ruantengyi If his death led to the end of the show, I can't blame the producers. The show just isn't iconic without JR Ewing. Maybe in the future they can have the next generation of Ewings branching out into new enterprises such as alternative energy like in the early seasons of the reboot.

Good job! This was one reboot that was actually well done. Although, it did move a little too fast for me and sometimes was a little OTT (Judith Light anyone) I thought Henderson and Metcalfe were well cast.

Great job. The music is very, very badly edited in the reboot. It jumps into the latter part of the sequence right from the outset. This was the best music! And the best style of titles. Bravo, Shane.

This is one reason why I'm only sticking to the original. I read season 3 does this but I've seen the other opening theme season 1 and 2 and it's not the same. I think I'll just stick to the original. The original theme/intro makes me smile. It's hard watching it without Miss Ellie and hard without Larry Hagman. It can't be done now no way.

Excellent job combining the old and the new. I hate it when they re-boot a classic series but compress the theme song. It just doesn't sound right when it is so pressed into your head. They tried re-doing the Hawaii Five-O theme without a full orchestra, but relented to fan pressure. They still cut it short though.

Its cool. You made a good Job on the technical side. But you should try to find scenes, where the actors dont speak. They never speaked in the opening credits. Thats the only thing, what is confusing

Actually in the opening credits for the first two seasons of the original "Dallas", 1978 half season and the 1978 - 79 season prior to Linda Gray's introduction into the credits as Sue Ellen, the characters were seen in the shots speaking or at least the majority of them were. And in the special opening credits they made have after Jock died they also are speaking.

They have gone to that three panel format, but not alphabetical order this time. Judith Light should be made a regular on the show. Her character is a so much nastier than JR. They should bring back Kuno Becker as a regular, and have Steve Kanaly & Charlene Tilton on more often.

Anthony Reddick I agree. They took a great show and screwed it up. First they put someone in charge who not only never watched the original show but clearly did not care about it. It was less about the Ewings than it was a Mexican drama. A maid who is rude to her employers. And Elena and Emma could have been written better as well.

I think Ray Krebbs (Steve Kanaly's character) was written out of "Dallas" before the original series ended in 1992; therefore, I think that may have been the reason why they didn't bring him back when the new "Dallas" premiered 20 years later.

They immediately messed up the new series by pissing about with the theme song and the style of the opening credits. They were iconic. You don't mess with that. But they did, and from that moment, we knew they wouldn't get the rest of the show right either, because if you can't respect the basics, you won't get anything right.
