I have to say as an English viewer that Laurel’s accent sounds very genuine. Usually when an English/ British character appears in an American show, the accent is absolutely cringeworthy, even if played by a British actor

Killing off Christopher in the new Dallas was a bad way to end things. I really wish that that was would have continued without Larry hagman, but at least that we were able to get reintroduced to the characters again. I would really like to see a Dallas TV series that goes back to when Jr, Bobby, and Ray were kids.

Does anybody remember what the outcome of this storyline was? I remember Clayton got charged for murder. But then I seem to recall nothing ever came of it and the storyline was just abandoned, I could be wrong.

It turns out Laurel's ex killed the guy. Clayton only knocked him out. The ex got there after Clayton and saw an opportunity to take out David and Clayton with one stone

Yeah. JR is living there with his wife with the same man who wanted to sleep with her when she was supposed to be in love with his son. YEAH, THAT'S believable alright. Especially with a man as possessive and suspicious as JR Ewing? The writers on this show should have made a dollar an hour because their grasp and view of character reality and consistent behavior was awful and plain stupid. Who in the hell told them they could write? I mean Really? This is what happens when writers get caught up in fantasy land. They go off track so bad its unwatchable. Do you really think JR as a character would allow any child of his to call any other living man their grand pa other than Jock? The show should have ended in year 5 or 6. The writing got worse each year. Just going through the same plots over and over again in circles with no real conclusion, which is the very purpose of creating a plot and character. I was told by my Drama professor in college that when things don't make sense, its bad over sight and bad writing-plain and simple.

Robbi D They were pretty similar. The Kimberley Cryder storyline was partly a rehash of the Holly Harwood storyline with the exception of Sue Ellen not getting blind drunk. The 'Bobby not getting involved with anyone JR bedded" was a rehash. Which eventually contradicted itself when Bobby married April. It should have went another way with JR and Sue Ellen butting heads as business equals and attemoting to destroy each other. Some of the storylines later on were silly.
