Dak Prescott on Trey Lance: “It’s about bringing others along and any time I do that, I make myself and find myself better. So, just in the sense of helping Trey and talking with Trey, I’m making myself better. I’m more focused on my feet. I’m not going to tell him to do something and then do something opposite and be hypocritical. It holds me more accountable and it’s fun. At the end of the day, I love watching somebody get better, watching somebody get excited, get the joy that I get when I improve from one day to the next. That’s the way this team is going to get better, and it’s not just me doing that, it’s other guys, receivers, bringing on young guys, the offensive linemen bringing those guys with them. That’s the culture we believe we have here.. He works his ass off. He’s pushing me. I don’t like to let other people get more reps than me. Trey’s the person I’ve got to watch because he’s trying to get up there in rep count. That’s a testament to him and how much he’s putting into this. He’s gotten better. He can play.”

Lance is the new backup, and after this season, he’ll be our new starter. If he wets the bed in 2025, we’ll draft one in the first that following draft. It also gives us another off season to get an nfl starting level RB on the roster, as well as someone dynamic opposite lamb. Maybe another year w/ the OL means guyton, and Beebe.

I understand Guyton is going to have a learning curve. He needs to get stronger and work on a lot. But I would rather watch him learn than a vet like Edoga keep making the same mistakes. Imagine what was going through Daks head last yr. Look left you got Edoga look right you got Steele who was paid for his dominant run blocking not pass pro. Beebe vs Hoffman should be a true battle. I think we might be over looking Bass and Hoffman as serious competition for C/G starters and depth. Martin is most likely going to miss some and we saw both Bass and Hoffman prove they can play quality snaps in the NFL last yr. I'm hoping they let Guyton get in and learn and let the best man win C. Put our 5 best out there and see if we can get a consistent run game going to help everyone.

I think that our running game will be the same as last year, I think that our offensive line was far worse in the run than anyone speaks on. Biadasz was a liability in the run game that’s why we didn’t resign him. We will be league average even with our rough room. Receivers are a b- but if Dak and cooks get a better connection (it started coming along late) then he could go get 1000 yards this year, maybe we can go get a big outside guy 6’ plus later in the year. I have more worries about our defense giving up 200 rush yards a game with no good linebackers and no interior lineman still, and the offense never touching the ball on offense. We’re going to lose time of possession a lot and that’s going to be the reason we lose more games than we’ve been use to.

Do fans want dallas to do well this year or lose and get a new coach and rebuild,is an nfc championship good enough or do they need to do more? Time will tell hopefully they make it to at least nfc championship, it took kansascity 25 years to get back to nfc championship from 1993 to 2019, it took Detroit about 30 years to win a playoff game, so just FYI, it is hard to win but possible, if another team has injuries late to key people that could help dallas, but we must play more physical, constituent latest and have good coaching and game management at end of season
