Jerry just lost a fan. Been a huge fan since 1978. In fact I was born on 1-1-78 during a Cowboy playoff game. A divisional championship game with the Vikings in fact. My father was out in the waiting room watching the game while I was being born. I’ve been a huge fan ever since, or at least when I was old enough to understand football. I’ve followed through good and bad and always had my boys backs although I’ve been honest when things were bad or going wrong and so on. I’m done. I’ve needed a reason to stop this team for awhile and this was it.

Going back to previous seasons being 12-5 and then not competing or showing up in the playoffs, then last season vs. the Packers in the playoffs with them not competing with the lack of zeal or responsibility to just play up to their regular season level .... So this season coming in with the same personnel and that coaching staff with the new defensive coordinator, we see a following pattern: You have Dak Prescott saying the team needs to practice harder .... You have Dak coming out stating the receivers need to be professional in route adjustments .... You also have the defensive players after the Ravens loss stating guys are not playing their rolls and trying to be heroes .... So when you combine all of this with the pattern of previous seasons and this year being 3-3 heading into the bye week .... The logical conclusion is really easy to understand: THEY ARE DOING THIS ON PURPOSE! I just don't believe when you do the same thing over and over again in the same situations that you are doing it by accident ... I really believe when people do this, especially as a group or unit, it's purposely done. You see? So forget 'like' or 'love' or 'fandom' -- these are people following a certain pattern of behavior as a unit. We all know it's hard to get 5 guys to just agree on one thing, imagine 52 plus a coaching staff .... At least the owner and general manager are the same person so it makes sense that person would agree with himself but the rest of the cast? This is 100% nuts. Jerry Jones really needs to either change this team/coaching staff up or hire a psychiatrist because you cannot have a 12-5 pattern with merely crumbling down in the playoffs NOT SHOWING UP to even compete at the level you did to get that 12-5 record. This makes no sense whatsoever. 2021, 2022, and 2023 all 12-5 and not showing up and crumbling when it matters most.

Since 1997, the Cowboys haven’t even came close to winning a SB. They’ve had the talent, good coaches, phenomenal fan base, but that one problem lingers, and that’s Jerry, and as long as he does what he does, things aren’t going to change. This is why it's largely pointless to engage in an argument with fans and media. They're going to question you, in good times or bad, but when times are bad it's like a snowball effect that turns into an avalanche. And even if you are dealing with an idiot who makes no sense too much of this and you're only alienating your fan base. In this case, I can't say that this radio talk show host falls into that category. Jones is the one who gets defensive, he's clearly frustrated by what's happening on the field, where the Cowboys are too inconsistent on both sides of the ball. There had been talk about moving on from Prescott, which obviously they didn't, but even if they had it's not like a Patrick Mahomes is available and ready to come off the practice squad. Everyone wants to win now; rebuild is the last option and Jones is probably too proud for that. What do you think would happen if that radio host told Jones it's time for a new owner? Just like anyone else who's rich/powerful, he wants to be lord of the manor in control. But if you're Top Dog and the train goes off the rails then you'll be the first one getting these questions...that goes with the territory. You wanna be The Man...these things can happen. He'll likely continue doing what he's doing until he's no longer able to anymore (ie Father Time). My opinion...and this is just me...what's the point of that? As an owner you've already won Super Bowls.... But I guess that's just me.
