I have to give y’all an update, chile! I went on two friendship dates so far and they both were amazing. So if you’re like me and you’re trying to find good girlfriends in this new season of life… don’t give up, sis. Make time and put in the work. We can’t just be around these men alllll the time 😂 There is nothing like sisterhood. Our husbands, fiancés, boyfriends, and situationships may be amazing, but you need sisterhood. Just wanted to encourage you 🤍

I'm in that stage and I've been trying to figure out how to find other women I can trust and get out with and don't have petty conversations. Im looking into therapy because I seriously have trust issue due to prior friendships. I don't watch TV or really listen to a lot a current music. My healing journey started over 5 years ago and a lot of people fell off but when I was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 years ago, it was disheartening because friends left. So I hear you on so many levels with this conversation. 🙌🏾

I always tell people that you have to put more effort into your adults friendships. I’ve been able to find likeminded girlfriends through my participation in social clubs/activities that I like to do. For example, I took up tennis, golf, gardening, cooking classes etc and have literally met great women through there. I developed two new friendships that have been going strong for the last 2-3 years💕I also have three really strong friendships from college. And despite us all living in different states now, we still travel to see each other and maintain the relationship. It’s been about 7-8 years already with them. You seem like a great person to be around! You’ll have besties in no time😂🥰

It’s definitely where I am. Life, trauma, mental and physical illness are taking its toll on me. I went to my doctor for a follow up and he said, “are you okay?” I lied and said , yes, why? He said, “because there’s no light in your eyes anymore.” I said, I’m really sleepy today. I could tell by the way he looked at me that he didn’t believe me. He saw something but decided not to push the issue which I was glad about it cause I didn’t want to talk about it or cry anymore.

Hi Marissa!💕 You’re such a beautiful person and I look forward to your weekly videos. Please do a video on what you mentioned regarding “things to stay quiet about and moving in silence”. I’ve always let ppl know my expectations upfront and I’ve encountered many counterfeits bc of it with friendships & romantically. Im currently separated, I was dating a guy and he checked off all my boxes (now I’m aware it was only bc I shared what I was looking for in a mate) and as SOON as we got married, LITERALLY THE NEXT DAY his character changed. The mask came completely off and the person I witnessed after marriage was who he was the entire time. So I would really love for you to do a segment on this specific topic. Thanks for insight, you truly inspire me to be a better woman!😊 15:55

Loved what you said about not telling men what you want! I would also recommend making your social media private and even having at least 2 pages. One where you interact with friends and family and are a bit more personal and one where u just post surface things like you in different outfits, but doesn’t reveal ur likes and dislikes and things that mean a lot to you. Ppl who are predators stalk social media pages to come up with the right things to say and do to get you to let your guard down so they can get what they want from you. ❤

Hello Sis! It's great to hear that everything is going smoothly in the BIG TX! When I visited Jacksonville recently, I had a fantastic time at RH Rooftop - the atmosphere was aaaabsolutely amazing! I wish you the best of luck in your journey to make new friends. As for me, I'm still in the process of rediscovering myself. This period of separation has been beneficial, but I must admit that it can sometimes feel like a solitary path. However, I'm gradually learning to embrace it. It's quite challenging to come across individuals who engage in healthy friendships and meaningful conversations. Sometimes, I even feel like I'm healing too much as well, if that's even possible! 😄

💗💕🌷🩷 I can never go back to those old friendships. Your right, I was saved on my bathroom floor all alone in 2020, and it changed me forever, im still in an "uglier" healing and transforming season, I have made some friends in the ministry im involved in thankfully, however have been a little distant because after starting counseling this year, ive realized I still have a way to go, im living slowly and gently right now and just trying to get through it, I know my new friends will be there when im ready to step out a little more 🩷💕 🌷💗 God is definitely working behind the scene right now, preparing the people, places and things! 🙏 It is a little lonely but right now im having to start from the very bottom and reinventing my entire life, learning to step into who God wants me to be and what God has for me!! 🙏🙏🙏 🩷💕🌷💗 I have healed so much that complaining, gossiping, boy talk, party talk etc. is just not for me! I can't stand those classless meaningless, mindless conversations. Thank you Jesus I have grown past these things Glory to God!! 🩷🌷💗💕🩷💗🌷💕
