Sadly the Dallas reboot was just as explosive as the original with fresh, new modern stories. But TNT was not committed. They ultimately killed Christopher off the same way they did his mother Pam!

Outside of All in the family,the 1st 5 seasons of Dallas were the absolute best in TV series history, well written and the greatest 'win at all cost' villian/anti hero in J.R. played to perfection by Larry Hagman. After 1982 and Jim Davis death(Jock) the series became campy trash.
